EXCELLENT CHIP-CLEARING CAPABILITY
New designed counterbores have chip clearing flutes the entire length of the body, creating a channel to allow chips to clear from even the deepest counterbores.
• Counterbore bodies are heat treated to R64C hardness for long life.
• Four sizes of counterbore pilot holes for #6, #8, #10 and #12 straight shank wood screws. Product description numbers specify woodscrew hole sizes in hardwood, e.g. #6 means ideal for #6 screw in hardwood, and it will work well for # 8 screw in softwood. (A convenient size reference chart is included in the set.)
• Counterbores have 1/4" hex shanks with a quick release notch on the #6, #8 and #10 sizes. The #12 size has a straight hex shank.
• New SlipStop™ non-marring collars feature a ‘window’ on each side that aligns with the chip clearing flutes to provide extra clearance to remove drilling waste.
• The set includes all four sizes of Cleanstop™ counterbores, a small windowed SlipStop™ collar for the #6, #8 and #10 sizes, a large windowed Slipstop™ collar for the #12 counterbore, a hex wrench to mount the Slipstop™ collars and adjust the drill bit depth and a size reference chart.
• The new storage case features an attractive burl finish, rare earth magnet catch and fitted foam interior to better protect the components.
• Counterbores with drill bits, stop collars and replacement drill bits are sold individually.
