Press-release Value of the international youth work Dmytro Remezov, youth worker, ChangeLog Foundation, NGO (Mykolaiv, Ukraine), Claudia Lanteri President of CSI TRE soc.coop (Bolzano, Italy), Ingrida Iskenderova (Lithuania), Maria Mokhova, JAFI (Sohnut), NGO (Odessa, Ukraine), leader of the groups, coordinator of projects, Pasquale Cesarano, Forum dei Giovani di Lettere (Lettere, Napoli, Italia) as representatives of youth organizations from EU and non-EU countries, gathered together in Surami, Georgia agreed on the statement, that we have three main dimensions of the youth work: youth as individual, surrounding stakeholders (neighbours, local community, civic institutions etc) and international cooperation. The society should be interested in organizing, providing, supporting the youth work as it is an important channel to equip youth with the competences in decision making process and taking responsibility at different levels (community, local, regional, national, global). This leads to positive results as reduce unemployment, reduce budget of welfare of each country. It unites young people with different interests, values, positions, backgrounds; it creates possibilities for raise of YW`s self-confidence and professionality; it prepares the society for upcoming changes. The recognition of the importance of YW at the international level guarantees global experience exchange, openness of societies for cooperation, inclusion. European Union defines Youth Work as one of three main pillars for the future. Including non-EU countries into the processes of youth policies development create conditions for global progress.
