LAURIE BURNS
One of the Southwest’s most popular contemporary artists, Laurie Burns
is inspired by her life-long love for glass. It was her curiosity about the different forms of glass – solid, liquid and gas – that introduced her to the demanding medium of fused glass. By incorporating many layers of colored and clear glass alongside dichroic accents, each wall-hanging and free-standing sculpture transforms into an elegant work of art, glowing from within. An impassioned career in glass art has earned Laurie high esteem among artists and collectors alike. Dozens of new pieces, along with her beautiful jewelry, will be on display at this show.

DOUG ADAMS
Doug Adams found the inspiration for his art while working for a large steel mill.
He became entranced by the process of using recycled metal to make a new, useable and beautiful product. Doug Adams’ experiences now influence his sculptural bells. Using many of the same tools and techniques with which he became familiar in the steel mill, Doug Adams masterfully combines found objects, reclaimed steel parts, priceless antiques and glass elements to create sculptures of astounding visual and aural beauty. Each unique environment will have an effect on the sound and resonance of these one-of-a-kind bells. A huge assortment of new bells will be on display during the show.
