The origin of the name is from Sanskrit language (Su + nil). 'Su' means 'Better' / 'Holy' and 'Nil' means 'Blue'. So, Sunil means "deep or better blue". Sunil means deep dark Blue. Su = Beautiful, Conspicuous. nil = Blue Hence Beautiful Blue. Thats it.
