I love classical Haute Couture which is where refinement at its height exists and Post-modern Haute Couture which is where freedom and untamed creativity exists. Grand Couturieres I admire and respect are: Mme Elsa Schiaparelli and Mme Madeleine Vionnet. Grand Couturiers I admire and respect include: Monsieur Charles Frederick Worth and Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent. I admire and respect the exalted couturiere of the new millennium: Mme Stephanie Burkhalter. She combines both classical and modern haute couture techniques to create garments that come from dreams. I am her muse. What!? It's the truth ;-). I incorporate fashion into my craft for that is part of what makes writing so exquisite! While I am no longer strictly a classical-influenced poet I retain this element in my craft while incorporating a new and much needed element: post-modernism. I believe in balance in everything and that's what keeps me happy.
