Doing more with Hospice

Within the Waipuna Hospice charity shops, in-patient unit, hospice, and wider community, a tapestry of sel ess individuals dedicate their time and energy to serve others through their e orts.

“I initially became a Waipuna Hospice volunteer because I felt it was my time to give back to the community. “Nine years later and I still love it,” says Jackie. “ e other volunteers I work with in the shop have become like a family and I love being able to help by visiting hospice patients so their carers can have a break. It feels so good to be able to give back and help people who need it.
