The Port of Sunnyside is a municipal corporation created November 3, 1964, by the voters of Yakima County.

The Port is a public enterprise with unique authority operating in an international, market-driven environment.

The Port provides services to its customers in order to return benefits to the citizens of Yakima County, giving careful consideration to the economic, social and environmental implications of its decisions.

The primary objective of the Port is to enhance the economic development within the boundaries of the Sunnyside Port District.
