Junior Chef Stars Fall Cooking

Looking for a hands on, tasty activity for your young chef? Join us this Fall as we provide junior chefs with the tools necessary to create, cook and learn. Designed for swimmers who can swim freestyle with side breathing and backstroke with the correct form and technique. Swimmers work to improve their endurance and stroke mechanics in both strokes as well as perfect their breaststroke technique. Prerequisite: Must successfully complete Level 1C - Beginner Intermediate or able to swim 15 yards of freestyle and backstroke, as well as demonstrate the correct breaststroke frog kick. Correct side breathing technique must be consistent and perfected while swimming freestyle.

Designed for swimmers who want to work on endurance and perhaps want to prepare to swim on a swim team in the future. Each day, swimmers work on stroke mechanics and stroke efficiency including open turns and flip turns while swimming the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Prerequisite: Must successfully complete Level 2B – Continuing or must be able to swim freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke correctly for 50 yards and swim butterfly for 15 yards. All strokes must be demonstrated with the proficient stroke technique.
