“All inclusive” Remember, a Sunrise Tour is an inclusive product. All activities, tickets, taxes and typically two meals per day (included meals are indicated in the daily itinerary; b=breakfast, l=lunch, d=dinner, hot apps= extensive appetizers that could replace a dinner) are included so that your only expenses on the road will be meals that are not included, souvenirs and a gratuity for your tour manager, driver and step-on guides if you so desire (see policies on p. 66). On a few tours, 2 meals a day may not be included, and will be indicated as such.

Genevieve County has a long, rich history of winemaking beginning in the early 1700s with its French settlers who found the calcium-rich limestone soils, rolling countryside and temperate climate favorable for winemaking. Today, many descendants of those early pioneers continue that long tradition. Ste. Genevieve is settled on the west bank of the Mississippi River and is Missouri’s oldest town. We are initiating a charitable giving program here at Sunrise Tours. In 2019 we will donate $1 for every guest travel day (take a nine-day trip, we donate $9) to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of onetime Sunrise Tour manager Frank Kirby. Frank was a beloved tour manager, known for his colorful stories and embellishments. On spring training tours to Florida, Frank was known to begin the day with a yarn that might have started, “I was having a beer with Tony La Russa last night and I gave him some ideas about the lineup…you’ll probably see some changes later today.” Frank knew as well as anyone that a big reason to take a vacation with Sunrise Tours is to have fun! Notes from the road...

Escaping the St. Louis winter to soak up some Florida sun may sound like a common vacation, but staring into the eyes of wild alligators, making friends with manatees, and an all-day boat cruise to a remote island fort made this trip anything but common. Prepping for our tour in early March, Florida’s National Parks (page 19), I traced our steps for the Everglades, Biscayne and Dry Tortugas.

After scouting out all the fun we will have in the vacation mecca of Key West, it was off to the less visited Dry Tortugas National Park via the Yankee Freedom III – the only commercial boat that services the park. The 18th Century naval fort is its own island, sitting alone in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Perfect for Sunrise explorers, the park offers a variety of experiences, from full historical tours, to short talks and self-exploration, and of course relaxing on the beach. The day at this incredible park is yours to make of it what you will. For wildlife spotters, only Yellowstone can compare to the incredible quantity and diversity of wildlife visitors see at Everglades National Park. From the tram tour to the boat and even from the visitor’s center, the animals here don’t hide. The gators, the dolphins, the manatees, and the birds...so many birds. No park lover will go home disappointed, and no camera will go home empty. Seeing what the wild side of Florida has to offer our travelers was a truly special experience. New England Fall Adventure Day 1: Mid-Ohio Our colorful fall adventure begins as we travel east to overnight in Ashland, Ohio. D Day 2: The Finger Lakes Head to the Finger Lakes Region of New York for a guided tour of the world’s oldest photography museum, the George Eastman House and Museum, located on the estate of the founder of Eastman Kodak Company. Travel to the northern shore of Seneca Lake for an incredible dinner at the Belhurst Castle and Winery before an overnight stay in Syracuse. B, D Day 3: Cooperstown, NY & Vermont Batter up! Head to the observation deck at the top for a breathtaking view of Vermont, Massachusetts and New York before traveling through the picturesque Green Mountains for a two-night stay at Vermont’s premier Okemo Mountain hotel, The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort. B, D Day 4: The Green Mountains Spend the day exploring the mountains of Vermont with our local guide. Visit the 1905 Georgian Revival mansion Hildene, the home of Robert Todd Lincoln, the only child of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to survive adulthood. Explore the times of yesteryear during a trip to Vermont’s original general store, The Vermont Country Store. Learn about the art of making maple syrup and sample some of their award-winning products during a visit to Green Mountain Sugar House before returning to Castle Hill for a delicious gourmet dinner. Day 6: Ogunquit, ME Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore Ogunquit’s downtown area, walk the Marginal Way or relax at the hotel to take in the coastline views. Visit one of the oldest working lighthouses in the country, the Portland Head Light, located at the entrance to Portland Harbor in the Gulf of Maine. Enjoy an authentic Maine lobster bake dinner. Travel to the quaint town of Kennebunkport for a narrated trolley tour of the history and sites of the town including President Bush’s Estate and the Franciscan Monastery. Tour Price Inclusions (and tipping policy) The price of the tour includes all attractions, lodging, motorcoach transportation, breakfast and dinner daily (unless noted otherwise), and tips for hotel, airport, and restaurant personnel. If the tour involves air travel, the cost of the ticket is included unless otherwise noted. Some airlines charge for checked baggage and that is not included in the tour price. Tips for the driver, tour managers, and step-on guides are left to the discretion of the traveler and should be in accordance with services received. Typical gratuities for tour manager and driver are $5-$7 per person, per day. Trip Insurance We have always felt that travel insurance is an individual decision, and therefore have not included it in the cost of our tours. That being said, we strongly recommend that you purchase the optional travel insurance described within. This coverage protects you against many unforeseen circumstances that can occur when traveling. There are many reasons to purchase insurance, but the following are two main reasons we highly recommend the insurance offered by NTA/Aon Insurance. 1) Trip cancellation - If you are forced to cancel a tour for medical reasons (for you or an immediate family member), having insurance ensures a complete refund of monies paid (except for the cost of insurance). 2) Trip interruption – Unfortunately, there are circumstances that can prevent passengers from fully participating in a tour and may require an early departure or extended stay. For example, if a passenger suffers an injury which requires immediate care and prevents the traveler from continuing on the tour, insurance will cover the cost of the extended stay, the cost of transportation home and the value of the missed tour (subject to claim submission and acceptance by AON Insurance). If you do not have insurance, you will personally incur these costs. From experience, we can tell you that this can be very expensive. To purchase trip insurance, reference the enclosed info and call 800388-1470 or visit nta.aontravelprotect.com. You must use Tour Operator Location #256061 to purchase insurance for a Sunrise Tour. Updated Pick-up points For each departure, we determine the pick-up points (listed on the booking form) to be used based on the departure route and the number of requests for each point. If less than 4 travelers request a point, we will not utilize that point and you must choose an alternate location to join the departure. All pick-up points allow parking for your vehicle. Sunrise Tour pick-up point partners offer the use of parking spaces by Sunrise

Tours travelers as a courtesy. Neither Sunrise Tours nor parking lot owners assume responsibility for incidents occurring to parked cars. You will be notified of the timing and location of pick-up points for your vacation 2-3 weeks before departure. If you would like to spend a pre-night before departure, we can provide a hotel room at some of our pick-up points at a reduced rate. If the routing allows, we may pick up along the way in outlying areas. Identification A passport is required on any tour that leaves the United States, including Canada. Photo ID’s are required on all fly tours and recommended on all tours. Singles Requesting Roommates If you would like to go on tour with us, but do not have a roommate for a specific trip, let us know and we will match you with someone else (same sex of course). Just let us know at least 60 days before departure and we will room you with another traveler at the double rate. If there is no roommate available on the tour you request, you will still only have to pay the price of a double. If you decline the roommate assigned, you will be responsible for the single supplement. Of course, if you prefer to travel individually, you can still sign up for the single fare. This offer is not valid on cruises, and some select tours. Methods of Payment For deposits we accept checks or cash. For final payment we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, check or cash. Seating on the Motorcoach Seating is assigned and will be rotated on a daily basis. Special seating requests are honored on the basis of availability. Paying the single fare does NOT ensure you will have a seat to yourself on the coach, it only ensures you a room by yourself. Responsibility Sunrise Tours is not responsible for any injury, delay, loss or accident due to any act or negligence on the part of any person or company rendering services on any of our tours.
