Emmet’s Flying Adventure Ride
Just like the popular toy bricks it is themed after, LEGOLAND California Resort is always building something new for guests to enjoy.
Located in Carlsbad, just 30 miles north of downtown San Diego, LEGOLAND California Resort has added several new attractions over the past few years to entertain kids and kids at heart. In fact, just last May, its 128-acre theme park — LEGOLAND California — welcomed its largest addition ever: THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD. Based on the blockbuster films “The LEGO Movie” and “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part,” the immersive land transports guests to the LEGO movie universe with six fun attractions. Guests can hop aboard Emmet’s Flying Adventure Ride and feel the sensation of flying above such memorable lands as Middle Zealand and Pirates Cove; launch to the top of Cloud Cuckoo Land on Unikitty’s Disco Drop before spinning and bouncing back down to earth; and even go for a ride on Queen Watevra’s Carousel. No trip to THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD is complete, either, without getting a picture with Emmet in Emmet’s Super Suite. Another recent addition to LEGOLAND California that’s quickly become a family favorite is LEGO CITY: Deep Sea Adventure. The interactive submarine ride invites passengers to search for sunken LEGO treasure as they cruise underwater past a variety of real sea creatures, including stingrays and sharks. Guests with a SEA LIFE Hopper Ticket can see even more incredible marine life inside LEGOLAND California Resort’s SEA LIFE Aquarium, including seahorses, jellyfish and an octopus! This spring, LEGOLAND California will be revving up for the debut of another exciting addition as well: the world’s first LEGO Ferrari Build and Race interactive attraction. Featuring a life-size Ferrari F40 model developed by the LEGO Group, the attraction puts guests in the driver’s seat as they use

their creativity and imagination to build, test and race their own LEGO Ferrari car at one of three unique racetracks. Guests can then scan their vehicle and further customize their car so they can race it digitally against other vehicles on a LEGO racetrack that’s based on Ferrari’s own private racetrack, Pista di Fiorano. A DUPLO build zone will also be available so younger guests can design their own cars out of bigger bricks. Besides having more than 60 rides, shows and attractions at LEGOLAND California for guests to enjoy — including the popular Miniland USA that features faithful reproductions of such frequently visited destinations as Southern California, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C., built out of more than 32 million LEGO bricks — LEGOLAND California Resort will be reopening its 10-acre LEGOLAND Water Park for the season in late March (separate admission fee applies). With so much to experience, families will likely want to spend a night or two on property. Luckily, LEGOLAND California Resort has two 250-room hotels to stay at: LEGOLAND Hotel and LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. No matter how many days guests are on property, though, they are guaranteed to build memories that will last a lifetime. legoland.com/california
