Ariel Lanyi returns to the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center for the third time. He is a pianist, intensely musical, intellectually probative, and well-focused. His authority, which belies his age, takes no prisoners as he expertly leads us on a nononsense artistic journey as satisfying as it is substantive. There is nothing in the least superficial about Mr. Lanyi’s always thoughtful music making, which speaks volumes for the artist he is and continues to blossom into.
His playing is precise, nuanced, and virtuosic, but he is no superficial virtuoso. What sets him apart is his ability to delve deeply into the music and to establish a connection with it. He doesn’t simply play the notes, he lives the music, seeks to capture its essence, and reflects it with extraordinary intensity, sensibility, and expressive maturity.
In March 2023, Ariel Lanyi was honored to receive the Prix Serdang, a Swiss prize awarded by the distinguished Austrian pianist Rudolf Buchbinder. The prize is endowed with CHF 50,000 and is not a competition, but a recognition of a young pianist’s achievements and an investment in their future.
Prior to this, Ariel won 3rd prize at the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition, performing Brahms Concerto No. 2 with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrew Manze in the finals. In the same
year, he was a winner of the Young Classical Artists Trust International Auditions.
Current highlights include returns to the Wigmore Hall and to the Miami International Piano Festival, as well as debut appearances at the Vancouver Recital Society, Nottingham International Piano Series, Frankfurt Alte Oper, and at Merkin Hall in NewYork.
On the concerto platform Ariel has appeared with various orchestras, including the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Israel Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Viva and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Future projects include the release of Organ Reflections on Linn Records, a recording of piano music inspired by the organ by Mozart, Franck, and Reger, and a recording with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.
An avid chamber musician, Ariel has attended the Marlboro festival and has collaborated with eminent musicians such as Maria João Pires, Marina Piccinini, Charles Neidich, Alena Baeva, andTorleifThedéen.

Mission of Patrons of Exceptional Artists
Exceptionally talented pianists, with unwavering dedication, devote their entire youth to developing their skills, abiding by rigid and demanding schedules, and focusing on achieving a successful music career. During this arduous process, they often find themselves lost without the support and understanding of a benefactor. That is where the mission and purpose of Patrons of Exceptional Artists comes in, an organization that, for the last 25 years, has brought the talent of countless deserving pianists to the attention of the public, conductors, and agents. Many of our artists are now on the international circuit, represented by top management. To enrich its mission, in 1998, Patrons of Exceptional Artists branched out to create the now-celebrated Miami International Piano Festivals and Academy, where students experience the hands-on immersion of working closely with an outstanding international faculty. In the winter, the MIPFA takes place at the beautiful Cadet Hotel in Miami Beach,
and in the summer at the Gustav
way to the Dolomites, about which Mahler wrote, “Dobbiaco is extraordinary: it tempers your body and soul.”
We have also expanded our outreach through an online state-of-the-art virtual platform that continues to evolve, creating an archive and visual library of all MIPF activities. The goal is to provide global exposure to our artists while allowing music lovers worldwide to enjoy our concerts, lectures, and masterclasses. The Miami International Piano Festival concerts are interactive experiences that engage our audiences and enhance their appreciation of music in its infinite prism of ideas and emotions.
Giselle Brodsky, Founder and Artistic Director of Patrons of Exceptional Artists, spends hundreds of hours listening to innumerable performances of hopeful applicants to select artists who, with their passion and commitment to the expression of music, will inspire and be inspired by our faculty, students, and audience.
Patrons Of Exceptional Artists is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization. For more information, contact Giselle Brodsky, at: info@miamipianofest.com or visit our website at: www.miamipianofest.com

Eight months ago, Heleni Orna faced the unthinkable. A tragic accident left her fighting for her life, and doctors gave her no chance of surviving beyond a few hours. It was a moment of profound sorrow, a time when hope seemed all but lost. But as the news of her condition spread, something extraordinary began to unfold something that would defy medical expectations and inspire all who witnessed it.
For 138 consecutive nights, hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital, lifting their voices in prayer.
Strangers became family, united by faith and a shared belief in the power of divine intervention. Their prayers, filled with love and unwavering devotion, created a force stronger than despair. They asked for a miracle, and against all odds, a miracle began to take shape.
257 days later, Heleni is still with us. She is home, stable, and making remarkable progress. Though she remains in a coma, her body and spirit continue to fight. Each small movement, each sign of improvement, is a reminder that the human will combined with the grace of
God ”knows no limits.
Heleni’s journey is more than a story of survival; it is a testament to the power of prayer, the strength of community, and the boundless hope that carries us through even the darkest times. Her fight is not over, but neither is our faith. We continue to stand with her, to believe in her healing, and to witness the beauty of a miracle unfolding before our eyes.
May Heleni’s story remind us all that with faith, love, and perseverance, anything is possible.

Recounts Remarkable Stories in Riveting New Memoir
Told with humor and a sense of awe, You Don’t Look Like an Astronaut’s Wife!
You Don’t Look Like an Astronaut’s Wife! poignantly transports readers to a magical era in the history of humanity, when anything seemed possible, and when the world first saw the Earth from space — an awe-inspiring moment that transcended geographical, cultural and political boundaries.
“It pulled the world together in a way nothing else ever has,” Mitchell recalled. “They sent back that incredible picture taken from the moon of Earth. We all saw our planet in a new way. No matter who you were, when you saw that tiny blue and white marble, knowing it was our home, it was humbling, and it united us.”
Mitchell said. “They were amazing, especially with overnight notoriety. The national news media were on their front lawns while they were trying to get their little ones off to school and provide some normalcy in their family lives. They did that with style and grace, and without a road map to go by.”
“I married a guy who went to the moon,” Mitchell added. “I stayed on Earth, but it was an amazing journey for me, nonetheless.”

Snoring Is No Laughing Matter!
It may be more than just an annoying habit, it may be a sign of Sleep Apnea
What Exactly is Sleep Apnea?
When the muscles that control the upper airway relax, some people begin to snore. When the airway becomes completely blocked and the person temporarily stops breathing, this is an episode of “Obstructive Apnea.” Each Apnea event may last for a few seconds or up to a couple minutes or more. Events may happen frequently - even several hundred times a night.
Can This Condition Be Treated? How?
There are many effective treatments for snoring. A widely accepted treatment for Sleep Apnea is oral appliance therapy. An oral device custom fit by your dentist is designed to keep your airway open and help prevent Apneas.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Recommends an oral appliance as a first-line treatment option for patients with mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), and for those with severe OSA who either decline CPAP Therapy or are unable to successfully use CPAP Therapy. This treatment does not involve medications or surgery and helps hundreds of thousands of people all over the world enjoy sleeping safely for a healthier life. Many experience the benefits quickly - often during the first night of use.

Entr’acte Theatrix’ first production of 2025 will be Avenue Q, the ‘triple crown’ (Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book) Tony Award-winning musical that is ‘part flesh, part felt and packed with heart’. The production will run from Thursday March 6th – Sunday, March 16th in the Bhetty Waldron Theatre at Actor’s Rep in West Palm Beach.
A truly unique show that ran for over 6 years on Broadway, Avenue Q, the musical that bested Wicked at the 2004 Tonys, focuses on recent college graduate, Princeton, who moves into a shabby NewYork apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it’s clear this is not your ordinary neighborhood.Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life. The show addresses adult issues with humor, empathy, monsters, and music.
Director Carlo Sabusap, who will also take on the role of Trekkie Monster in the production, has cast Esqui as Princeton and Rod, Elizabeth Robinson as Kate Monster, Elijah Pestana as Nicky, Greg Halmos as Brian, Rose Foster as Christmas Eve, Sarah Romeo as Gary Coleman, Ariel Hodgetts as Lucy and Bad Idea Bear, and Sarah Kenny as Bad Idea Bear, Mrs.Thistletwat, and others.
Avenue Q’s Musical Director is Aaliyah Moin. Elizabeth Southwell will serve as the production’s Technical Director and Lighting Designer, Jaycie Cohen is the Sound Engineer, and Jason Fisher doubles as the show’s Stage Manager and Assistant Director.
“We are yet again at one of those times in our history when we need some levity in the world,” Director
Sabusap says. “The current economic and political climate, for some, is rough. I think we need to bring some light into our lives, and Avenue Q is definitely one of the best ways to remind ourselves that even when the times get tough, we must remember to laugh.
“I feel like Avenue Q is one of those shows that reaches deep down inside of everyone, the comedy comes from us finding the ridiculous in the mundane, an experience that all of us go through as we grow up,” he continues. “The puppets give us the comfort food of childlike wonder while the subject matter pulls us into those relatable situations that we as adults have experienced. Although the cast is primarily young adults, they know and can express the experiences presented in the show. They’re all talented, hard-working, and very funny. Avenue Q comes with the unique challenge that most other musical theater shows don’t have, in that when you’re on stage with the puppet, you’re acting twice. You’re not only expressing and emoting your own physical body, but also this seemingly inanimate object which they can magically bring to life. I’m sure that audiences will find this one to be side-hurtingly funny. Whether you’re looking for your purpose in life, a reason to get out of your house, in search of crude humor, Avenue Q is definitely the best bet!”
“This is our first production at Bob Carter’s Actor’s Workshop,” says Entr’Acte Theatrix Founder and Executive Producer Vicki Halmos. “The space is perfect for us – it’s small and intimate, with just the right number of seats. And there’s lots of parking available! Avenue Q is one of our favorite shows,” she continues. “It allows our
actors the opportunity to stretch their skill sets – working with these puppets takes discipline and strength –mental and physical. It’s funny, and clever, and yet it packs a number of important messages concerning personal relationships, discrimination against people who are different, and the truths about being an adult.
Avenue Q will run fromThursday March 6th – Sunday, March 16th in the BhettyWaldron Theatre at Actor’s Rep, located at 1000 North Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401. Performances are on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at: www.PalmBeachTheater.org - Or by phone at: (561) 833-7529.
