Left, Congress Leaders to Raise Tripura Post-poll Violence in Parliament

Agency News: New Delhi

Taking a serious note of the clashes and violence in the aftermath of the elections in BJPruled Tripura, a Left-Congress delegation on Saturday said it will raise the issue in Parliament to bring the matter to the knowledge of all countrymen.Members of the delegation, who had come under an attack of miscreants in Nehalchandranagar on Friday, during its tour of violence-hit areas, also said that senior leaders of the Left and the Congress will meet President Droupadi Murmu to apprise her of the “terror tactics unleashed by the BJP and RSS” in states ruled by the saffron camp.Three people have

After years of clamour from cricketers, fans and media alike, the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League kicked off last weekend with the Ambani-owned Mumbai Indians sweeping aside the Adani-owned Gujarat Giants by 143 runs. This demolition by one of the most successful cricket franchises in T20’s short but storied history harkened back to 18 April 2008, when the legendary New Zealand batsman Brendon “Baz” McCullum’s blistering century set the men’s Indian Premier League (IPL) alight from the opening match itself. The past week saw that long-awaited breaking of the glass ceiling in the context of Indian women’s cricketers, who now finally have the chance to claim franchise T20 riches just like the men did 15 years ago. And that is why the burgeoning WPL is ThePrint’s Newsmaker of the Week. The road ahead remains long for the league to cement itself as viable rather than short-lived phenomenon, not only in improving the on-field product but also in the planning behind-the-scenes. Much like the broader history of the game on a global level, women’s cricket in India has also been associated with institutionalised other-isation and misogynistic attitudes, be it absurdly low payments made to women’s domestic cricket talent or the mere “lip service” by previous BCCI administrations towards the women’s game. Women’s cricket governance globally had merged with its male counterpart in 2005 and the subsequent merger of the Women’s Cricket Association of India with the BCCI happened the following year, but the game’s progress remained slow for the decade that followed. It was as recently as 2017 that former cricketer and then-BCCI office bearer Diana Edulji had alleged former BCCI chair N Srinivasan told her that women’s cricket in India “wouldn’t happen” if he had his way.Two years later, prominent male cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul had found themselves in hot water due to jokes and remarks.

Trailer Of Kajal Aggarwal-Starrer Ghosty Promises A Mix Of Comedy And Horror

Renowned comedian Yogi Babu has also been roped in this film to play the role of a don.

Actress Kajal Aggarwal is all set to make her comeback to films after staying away from the spotlight for some time. On April 19, 2022, she welcomed her baby boy Neil Kitchlu. Kajal is now gearing up for her first box-office outing this year. She will essay a dual role in the film titled Ghosty, directed by Kalyaan. Production company Think Music India unveiled the trailer of this film on March 9, which has garnered more than 7,00,000 views so far. Renowned comedian Yogi Babu has also been roped in to play the role of a don. Some might assume that the duo will be seen as a pair, but on the contrary, it feels that both actors will be seen at loggerheads with each other. Apart from these actors, Ghosty comprises an ensemble cast of Redin Kingsley, Thangadurai, Jagan, Oorvasi and Sathyan in pivotal roles. Social media users went gaga over this trailer, particularly about Kajal making her comeback after a long time. She is known to ace every role with utmost perfection. Due to this ability, users can’t wait any longer to see Kajal entertain them with her acting prowess again — that, too, in a dual role. Composer Sam CS’s music is also one of the talking points. Stakes are high for Ghosty because of Kalyaan’s direction and Yogi Babu’s comic timing. Ghosty will be released on March 17 in theatres. It will narrate the story of a woman who becomes a police officer following his father’s footsteps. She is after a criminal who escaped from the custody of his father but starts experiencing paranormal activities in this process.

Based in Santa Clara, the lender was ranked as the 16th biggest in the US at the end of last year, with about $209 billion in assets. Specifics of the techfocused bank’s abrupt collapse

were a jumble, but the Fed’s aggressive interest rate hikes in the last year, which had crimped financial conditions in the startup space in which it was a notable player, seemed front and center. As it tried to raise capital to offset fleeing deposits, the bank lost $1.8 billion on Treasury bonds whose values were torpedoed by the Fed rate hikes.Silicon Valley Bank’s failure is the largest since Washington Mutual went bust in 2008.
