From Baking and Pastry Arts and Crime Scene Technology to Information Systems Security and Web Page Design, ECC now offers 26 unique certificate programs in the areas of Business and Public Service, Health Sciences, Liberal Arts and Engineering and Technologies, including new programs in Biomanufacturing and Network Support Technology.

Advanced Police Science

Designed for individuals who have already been hired by local police agencies, this program covers topics such as homeland security, field officer training and basic criminal investigation.

CNC Precision Machining

Prepares students for employment in the precision metalworking industry. Students who complete the program will be able to enter or advance in such growing fields as die making, machine repair and computer numerical control machining.

Baking and Pastry Arts

Retail and in-store baking is a growing part of the food service and hospitality industry. This program will prepare students to work in a bakery, assist an on-site pastry chef or start a delicious small business.

Computer Applications for the Office

Provides students with entry-level office and computer skills; or upgrades current skills by introducing new and emerging office technology necessary for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Biomanufacturing

Program combines subject-focused practices, lean manufacturing and hands-on lab experiences for students interested in the STEM training necessary for one of the region’s fastest growing industries.

Building Trades/Residential Light Commercial

This hands-on program not only focuses on techniques of renovation such as contracting and project management, electrical systems and carpentry, but also prepares students to renovate and update aging structures.

Computer Security and Investigations/ Digital Forensics Includes the technological aspects of information security management, as well as the law enforcement perspective and investigative skills needed to respond to breaches of security and the demands of digital forensics training.

Crime Scene Technology

Provides training in crime scene technology, focusing on collection of evidence, crime scene photography and processing fingerprints. Program is ideal for criminal justice students, police officers or individuals interested in the aspects of the field.

Casino Gaming Machine Repair Technician

Provides education and training in the repair and maintenance of casino gaming machines; and prepares individuals for service technician jobs necessary for the gaming industry’s sophisticated electronic equipment.

Geared toward students interested in becoming a vital member of a dental healthcare team. Students will assist dentists during chairside procedures and perform a variety of supportive services under direct supervision of professionals.

IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE POSITION OF

PROTOTYPE MACHINIST FULL-TIME • Individual must have 10 years machining and prototype experience using manual and CNC lathes and mills, surface grinder, ID, OD grinder. • Candidate must have knowledge of geometric tolerancing and the ability to design and build fixturing; collaborate with design engineers to review and plan each job. • Two-year AAS degree in a technical field a plus. • Mastercam X5 experience helpful.
