ShouphouseSCAPE. ‘Shophousescape’ defines the residence mixed with the function of commercial bussiness and the sense of urban townscape especially in the oldtown ofsoutheast Asia contries. The house’s frontages are highly influenced between Chinese and Colonial European style, the houses are classified as a vernacular architecture from using local materials to shape the tropical-based buildings without professional architect. Baan Sing Tha, Muang District, Yasothorn Province, is the commercial area since in the old day and became more flourish when it was under the influence of France. During that time, elites people imported the skillful artisans from Vietnam to construct the houses so the Chinese-European style were evidenced. Currently, this architecture can be seen on Sri Sunthorn Road, Nakorn Thum Road, Uthai Ramrit Road, and Wittaya Thamrong Road. Most of them are still in good condition giving the sense of the ancient time while some are abandoned.

A historic road in the area of Bangkok’s Samphanthawong district. It has its origins by separating from Chak Phet road near Chakkrawat police station and foot of Phra Pok Klao bridge on the borderline of Chakkrawat sub-district, Samphanthwong district and Wang Burapha Phirom sub-district, Phra Nakhon district, then cuts across Ratchawong road in the area near Ratchawong pier, as far as ending at Khao Lam cycle, where it combines Khao Lam and Charoen Krung roads in Talat Noi sub-district in the area known as Sieng Kong or official name Soi Wanit 2. The distance is 1,196 m (about 0.6 mi) alongside Chao Phraya river almost all the length.
