Vector based: .ai, .eps, .pdf (editable, Press-Quality)
• Convert all fonts to outlines & include linked images.
Raster based: .psd, .tff
• Do not flaten/merge layers.
• Raster images should be exported or saved at 300 ppi (pixels per inch) at 100% of desired size for optmum results.
• Other raster formats (.jpg, .gif, .bmp) can be accepted, but may incur an art fee.

Process
Print-Ready Art
Print-ready art is artwork that meets the criteria listed in the Art Guidelines and can be used without further preparaton or changes. Pricing is based on print-ready art.
Please Note: Print-ready art is not paper laser prints, photocopies, hand sketches, imprinted products, statonary or business cards. Faxed artwork is not acceptable as print-ready. Correctly set up art greatly enhances the finished product.
Art Preparaton
Important Complete all edits & changes
• Low resoluton files may need to be redrawn.
• Vector art is required for color adjustment and matching.
• Please include a .pdf or .jpg of your art for viewing.
Before Sending Art (be sure to:)
- All graphic elements appear as they should be printed.
- Send only correct, print quality files.
Set up art with correct colors & color mode
- CMYK and/or Pantone Solid Coated (recommended).
Vector art is required for color adjustment and matching.
Tip: For bolder results, we recommend using a rich black (C: 25%, M: 25%, Y 25%, K: 100%)
Important: Blue colors with high percentages of magenta may print
with a purple tnt. Please supply a Pantone color to target.
- Art for clear media including decals and clings should be submited with a spot color or channel called Spot1 where white ink should be.
Areas that appear white in the design will have no ink laid down.
Save all files at actual size
- Submit vector or hi-resoluton art at 100% of the desired size.
Prepare an obvious & editable vector cut line
- Your cut line should show exactly how you would like your art to
be cut. It should be visible & clearly not part of the design.
Tip: We recommend placing the cut line on a separate layer.
- To ensure your final product is not damaged during producton, we may need to slightly alter the cut line. A proof will be provided.
Set up bleed & safe margins
- Bleed is the printng that goes beyond the edge or cut line of a
product & allows the image/product to be cut to the correct size.
- A minimum of 1/16” (0.0625) bleed & margin is required.
- Some products may require more than 1/16” bleed & margin. Our Customer Service Department can supply product-specific requirements.
Convert all text to outlines
- Convertng text to outlines ensures there will be no missing fonts.
Once converted to outlines, text cannot be edited.
Include or embed all linked images
- Files missing linked images may be unprintable.
There are no additonal art charges for orders that have print-ready artwork. If artwork requires rework, edits or other work in order to meet our Art Guidelines, additonal charges of $7/15 minutes may be applied.
Proofs
A proof will be sent for each order. Each proof will show the artwork as it will be printed and cut. With approval, you agree to the size, shape and colors used in the art work, as well as all text and graphic layouts as described on the proof.
Revisions
If you do not approve the inital proof, revised art will be sent in the same format. Corrected art may be resubmited or manufacturer’s art department may assist in alteratons. Changes to the art made by manufacturer may result in additonal art charges.
Approval
Art approval must be either emailed or faxed. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that all graphic elements, text, and dimensions meet your job requirements. By approving a proof, you indicate that you have viewed the informaton presented and assume responsibility for any errors contained therein. Once approval has been given, the producton process will begin, and any changes made afer approval may require fees.
Changes Afer Approval
If new artwork is submited or changes are requested afer proof approval, a charge of $28 may be assessed for reopening the job and redoing print set up.
Repeat Orders
When placing a reorder, please provide as much informaton from the original job as possible. Some of these items include your original PO number, manufacturer’s order number, invoice number, or job number.
Right to Promoton
Unless indicated in writng, manufacturer reserves the right to use any items produced in displays, catalogs, fliers, advertsements and other promotonal uses. If art has already been used, art will be replaced when notfied before further printng and publicaton.

Turn Times
A proof is created and emailed to you within 1-3 business days of receiving print-ready art. Producton will begin once we have your final approval. Producton tme varies depending on the product and quantty. Most custom jobs are completed in 3-10 business days from order date.
Rush Orders
If your order needs to ship within 72 hours or less of our receiving the purchase order and artwork, then a 20% rush fee will apply.
Shipping
Custom orders are shipped via FedEx unless otherwise specified. Shipping tmes vary based on locaton and shipping method. Expedited shipping services are available and may be required to meet your need date.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipments are available for large volume orders. The carrier used will be determined based on optons required (e.g. – Lif Gate for businesses without a dock) and need date.
Customers may choose to use their own shipping account to ship orders. Please provide your shipping account informaton with your purchase order.
We are not responsible for orders lost or damaged in shipment. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges. Changes in shipping method must be requested in writng.
Blind/Drop Shipments
All orders will be shipped as a blind/drop shipment unless otherwise requested. Split shipments may incur additonal charges.
F.O.B. Point
F.O.B. is from our plant in North Carolina, unless manufacturing schedule designates otherwise.
Large Quantty Orders
Magnet America has the capability of producing large quanttes, unique shapes and sizes. To receive a quote on an item and/or quantty not found in our catalog, please contact your sales representatve.
Minimum Quanttes
There is a minimum quantty requirement for customized products. The minimum quantty varies based on the type of product you are ordering (typically, 50 pieces for non-car door magnets). Please call your sales representatve for details and pricing on orders of low quanttes.
Non-Standard Quanttes
Orders for quanttes between standard catalog quanttes will be priced at the lower quantty price.
Cancellatons
- There will be no cancellaton charges if the order is canceled before the first proof is created.
- A fee will be applied if an order is canceled afer a proof has been created. The amount of the fee may vary based on the type/status of an order.
- Orders will be considered “canceled” afer 45 days of inactvity.
Overruns
Due to our commitment to quality, the exact quantty of a shipment may be increased by 5% for orders less than 1000 pieces, and by 2% for orders more than 1000 pieces. These adjusted totals will consttute a complete order and will be billed accordingly.
Printng Process
Digital: Our standard printng process is a digital, 4-color process printng method. This process uses cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks to provide a great range of colors and eliminates the need to charge extra fees for set up or to match colors. All PMS colors printed will be simulated using the CMYK process. We will make every effort to match PMS colors as closely as possible, however, perfect color matches cannot be guaranteed.
Screen Printng: We also offer screen printng as an opton. This method also offers a great range of colors and a glossy finish to the final product. Pricing is calculated per color, may require extra fees, and will necessitate a longer turn tme. If this method is desired, please ask for your special quote.
Other: Other methods of printng may be used depending on size of order, colors required, and need date. If necessary, these optons will be discussed during the quotng process and determined before the order is placed.
Materials
Magnet – Our magnetc material is made of a mate finish vinyl with a magnetc backing with a satn coated finish. Standard thicknesses of .020” and .030”, can be used on any metal surface, and are proudly manufactured in the USA. We also offer a high gloss clear laminate suitable for indoor use and UV Coatngs suitable for indoor or outdoor use (a special quote will be required). Other thickness are available for special orders. These will require a special quote and may necessitate a longer turn tme.
Decal – Our standard decal is a white mate flexible calendared PVC vinyl available in a permanent or removable adhesive. We also offer a glossy flexible calendared PVC permanent adhesive vinyl (a special quote will be required). Other optons are available for special orders. These will require a special quote and may necessitate a longer turn tme.

Care Instructons
MagnetMagnet- Our products are made of the highest quality. Please follow these simple care instructons to ensure you can enjoy products for a long tme. Clean surface and magnet with detergent before applying. On vehicles – remove and clean magnet and surface weekly. Do not use on horizontal surfaces exposed to direct sunlight (such as automobile hoods). Do not use in temperatures exceeding 150 degrees. Before affixing to metal surface, be sure all paints, clear coats, and waxes are cured (approximate curing tme: paint 90 days, clear coat 60 days, wax 2 days). Remove magnet by lifing lef to right from surface. Do not pull or stretch magnet across the surface. Adhesive Decal - Thoroughly clean surface before applying. Apply decal on dry surface.
