A NCOA Processing Charge of $80.00(C) will be incurred for each list. Non-Profit (Ship from Gardner, KS) must meet certain criteria. USPS Form 3623 must be sent in with purchase order or bulk mail forms for USPS authorization before we can proceed. We cannot proceed with your order unless all forms have been returned, verified and are on-site at our production facility.

Custom Size Postcards: Minimum custom postcard size is 31/2" x 5". Maximum custom size is 81/2" x 11" (this does not include Magna-Seal™ or Magna-Peel™ postcards).

Quantities cannot be combined for a total mailing on copy changes. Each must meet USPS minimum requirements. No art behind indicia. Background must be solid color light, white or reversed area. Minimum of 1/8" space around indicia. Indicias may be reduced, but no smaller than 4 point type. Indicia cannot be smaller than 1/2"(w) x 1/2"(h). Box is not mandatory. Indicia needs to be easily found by post office; not lost in graphics or artwork of mail piece.

Ancillary Service Endorsements: A minimum of 1/4" space around all sides of the endorsement (this is not the same as “Or Current Resident"). Keep folds in mind and give an 1/8" (.125 inch) margin on each side of fold. Please refer to templates. Artwork must be submitted in consecutive page order.

VISUAL MARGIN GUIDE

We accept Press-Quality PDF, EPS, TIFF, PSD, or JPEG. All files should be in CMYK color mode. DO NOT send Corel Draw (.cdr), Word (.doc), Excel (.xlsx) or Publisher (.pub) files for artwork.

Example shown (Item #804007, 2¾” x 1¼” Square Corners Magnet), is for visual representation only. Please use appropriate template file for the desired item.

PHOTOSHOP

 PINK LINE is image bleed requirement. If you want the art to bleed off the edges of the product give art an 1/8” (.125 inch) outside margin on all sides.

TIFF, PSD or JPEG files only. Files must be at 100% of actual size or larger with standard inside and image bleed margins. Factory does not recommend setting type in Photoshop, as files result in fuzzy or jagged type. Minimum dpi for bitmap files is 600, maximum is 1200 dpi - CMYK/grayscale is 300 dpi, and maximum 600 dpi.

FONTS Convert all fonts to outlines/paths/curves before submitting artwork.

DROP SHIPMENTS / SPECIAL PACKAGING / SPLIT SHIPMENTS

 ONLINE PROOFS: Color proofing is available on the Internet. Online Proofing is to show color and/or color breaks but is NOT an exact color correct proofing system. Factory cannot match output from laser printers, ink-jet printers or what is viewed on computer monitors. Request online proof on the purchase order. If proof not requested, Factory may still e-mail a proof for approval. If customer’s instructions are clear an online proof will not be sent unless requested. No charge for up to 3 proofs.

 GRAY LINE is where product will be cut for final production.

F.O.B. POINT

 GREEN LINE is inside margin. Leave 1/8” (.125 inch) inside margin from the edges of the product on all sides for live art. All pertinent information must fit within the 1/8” (.125 inch) margins.

 DIGITAL PROOFS: Color press proofs are a close representation of the color of your product. Press proofs at $30(C) are available on four-color process items. Press proofs are sent via overnight shipping at customer’s expense. Contact Customer Service if you do not want proofs expedited. Not available for note pads and scratch pads.

ORDER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Acknowledgment e-mails are sent the same day a purchase order is received. Acknowledgments show the projected ship date based on proof approval (if requested) within 24 hours of online proof. Delays in proof approval will result in a later ship date.

COLOR MODE All files need to be saved as CMYK for full-color printing.

LOW-RESOLUTION FILES

PACKING SLIPS

Photos and files copied from the Internet are low resolution and unacceptable art for printing and might be subject to copyright laws. Low-resolution GIF, JPEG, CGM, BMP, WFM PICT, digital camera images or website graphic files are NOT acceptable artwork. Factory does NOT accept responsibility for quality or color of digital photos or files copied from the Internet.

Factory does not provide packing slips. Customer-supplied packing slips used at no extra charge.

CANCELLED ORDERS

If an order is cancelled after one or more proofs have been received, a $30(C) charge will be billed for each proof received. An order already in production will be charged time and materials used.

PRINT-TO-MATCH Factory prints to match the Pantone® Color Bridge + charts. We do NOT print to match ink jet or laser printed copies. We do NOT print to match PDF files. Convert ALL RGB defined colors and files to CMYK for full-color (four-color process) production.

RIGHT TO PROMOTION

Unless indicated on purchase order or in writing, Factory reserves right to use any items produced in displays, catalogs, flyers, advertisements and other promotional uses. In some instances artwork might have already been used. When notified art will be replaced.

ART CHARGES

ARTWORK UPLOAD

E-MAILED ARTWORK E-mail is NOT a preferred method due to the 25MB maximum file size limit. Please DO NOT E-MAIL purchase orders to factory’s Electronic Art Department.

STANDARD MARGINS / IMPRINT AREA On most items, standard 1/8” (.125 inch) margins on all sides for live imprint and image bleed. For larger items (memo boards, posters, car magnets, etc.) increase margins to a minimum of 1/4” (.25 inch). Artwork intended to print to the edge must extend 1/8” (.125 inch) outside cut line on all sides. Artwork not intended to print to the edge must remain 1/8” (.125 inch) inside cut line. Please refer to the individual template for each item.

TEMPLATE LAYOUT INSTRUCTIONS 1. All artwork MUST FIT within the margin and bleed parameters shown on templates. If artwork is not set up correctly for standard margins/ bleed, we will adjust artwork to the proper bleeds and margins.

Copy size varies on each product. Contact factory for exact specifications. Prices on all imprinted products include up to 30 minutes of art setup time. You will be contacted prior to production if additional art charges are required. No additional plate or art charges are incurred if usable electronic art is supplied. Artwork requiring additional manipulation is billable at $80(C) per hour.

TRANSIT MAP

Original art files will be retained for a period of 24 months after shipment of the order. New art files will be required on jobs over 24 months old.

PRODUCTION-READY ART Production-ready artwork can be used without further preparation or changes. All artwork should be color separated and registered to size. Precise details as to color, crop marks and placement should be noted. Size is limited to 11” x 17”. Faxed artwork NOT acceptable.

 11 or more copy changes: Please call for quote.

 1 - 10 copy changes: $20(G) each (unless indicated below).

 Scratch Pad and Sticky Notes copy changes: $30(G) each.  Published minimum quantities for all products apply for copy changes. Copy Changes are limited to changing 6 lines of copy, a photo, and a logo. In addition, the items must all have a common background or main layout that does not change. Please Note: Once an order is submitted to factory, copy-changes cannot be added.

ARTWORK & COPY LIMIT

COPY CHANGES

For swatch colors refer to the Pantone® Color Bridge + Coated (Uncoated for pads and cubes) Solid to Process Swatch Book. Ink colors printed along with lamination or UV-coating may differ from colors shown on your personal computer or printing device.

RUSH ORDERS

Third-party shipping incurs a $6.25(G) charge per order (Item 93RDPARTY). Cut and registration variance not to exceed 1/16”. Total material thickness may vary +/- .002 from stated thickness.

 PRODUCT PROOFS: Actual printed and laminated product proofs are $80(C) for one-color or four-color process, $20(C) for each additional spot color. Product proofs are sent via overnight shipping at customer’s expense. Contact Customer Service if you do not want proofs expedited. Printed product proofs and product proof shipping are FREE on orders of $6,250(G) or more. Pantone® color matches are billed at $50(C) per color on all product proofs. Sticky Notes and Slinky® Adhesive Note Pad Product Proofs are billed at $160(C). Product proofs requiring a custom die will be charged if the order is cancelled or not followed by a catalog quantity order. (Not available for Note Pads, Scratch Pads, Sticky Notes, and Cubes)

Sales catalogs, flyers, and random product samples are provided at no charge. Spec Samples are billed at $80(C) for one-color or four-color process, $20(C) for each additional spot color. Provide account number for expedited overnight shipping requests.

THIRD-PARTY SHIPPING

There will be an additional $80(C) per hour charge for corrections or repairs to submitted electronic art. You will be contacted before any work begins. Uploading art to the web address of www.checkart.com is the preferred method for sending electronic art (150MB maximum file limit). You receive a confirmation when upload is completed.

PROOFS

 $6(G) A single order that requires split shipments to different locations and/or packaging with varying quantities for different persons requires a master list indicating the addresses and quantities going to each location. Each additional shipping location will incur a Drop Shipment Charge (Item DSHIP). Shipments under minimum catalog quantity WILL INCUR an additional $5(C) Special Packaging Charge (Item 9PACK).
