To design a residence consisting of hall and dining area along with three bedrooms and a kitchen in a minimalistic yet classy interiors. The client has special rquirements for lighter and earthier colours with soft and playful textures in the interiors.
LIVING AND DINING SPACE
T
he living area and dining space of Dr. Aviroop Maiti is designed with nuetral color pallete of white, grey and bit of brown. As he is shifting to his new apartment a gallery wall is specially designed for celebrating his lot of memories. As the tones of the interior are muted textures play a vital role to maintain a balance .The lighting is done in such a way that the space has a feeling of being even more spacious and well illuminated. The chrome finished wall clock is acting as a accent feature.

aster bedroom has a interesting TV Unit along with both display and storage shelves. The light shade laminate is going hand in hand with white. The soft grey fabric in upholestery and bedsheet are emerging a softer and cosier feel.. The POP ceiling design is acting as the emphasis of the room.. The lighting of the room is done such that there is no bright distracting light but soothing diffused light..

he dressing unit is connected to the bed side table as there was constraint of space. The design of the dressing unit is minimal yet efficient. A small hanging light is provided along the dressing unit.. Full height curtains are provided to create the illusion of height in the room instead of the window height.. All the furniture placed are are according to the vaastu.

uest bedroom consisting of a small puja unit as per the client’s requirement to just sit and meditate is designed in a moderate budget. The nuetral color theme is maintained throughout all the rooms of the residence. A POP ceiling in plus and minus levels with geometrical patterns is designed to create interest.

itchen design is kept very clean and simple. The kitchen counter is well lited with cove lights and focus lights that are placed under the storage upperhead cabinets. The lower cabinets has differents sizes of drawers required as per the crockeries. It also has a bottle pull out for the provision of bottle storage.It has provision for microwave oven and dishwasher as well. As the space is limited a foldable shelf is made on the left wall which can be used for activities like chopping or keeping the dishes , which can be then folded back when not in use.

To renovate the existing hall and dining space into a simple yet luxourous space with a touch of gold. Brick wall texture on one of the wall is on the priority. Dining area with a display crockery unit which connects to the kitchen is the need of the hour.

iving and dining space renovation is done for Mr. Ravi Aggarwal who wanted the design to be simple yet sophisticated interiors. The living room has a very welcoming fell with large LShaped sofa along with two small centre tables which can also be adjoined together which will act as a single table. A large painting on the wall that is acting as a accent wall with golden vertical strips along the room and across the painting , which is not only increasing the sense of height of the room but also enhancing the luxourious feel of the room.

rick textured tiles are used in the wall in which mirrors placed of diiferent sizes in asymmetric balance. along with a diwan. The older shelve is now converted into a interesting display shelve. Also the partiton wall is acting both as partition wall with partial visibility and as a display shelve. It is kept partially visible, so that it separates the area from the dining space without limiting the size of the hall visually. The parttion shelve have down lighters to enhance the objects displayed even more.

ining space has a 6 seater dining table and a crockery unit which not only can be used for storage but also display of fine crockeries. The space under the staircase is also used for storage drawers and display shelves. The older staircase railing is changed into a contemporary theme railing design.

he automation centre is divided into two floors. The concept of the interiors is inspired from science fiction movies. Left wall of the showroom is diplay of different types of sensors ans switches, automative and secure door handles to be used in restaurants, hotels , hospitals, etc , CCTV camers, security systems, etc., and a smal scale model of house is also displayed to represent where and how the can the products be used in the residence. products like amazon Echo, google nest, thermostats etc are displayed on the table. Right side of he wall also has display units. The main office is present in the ground floor. Track lights are used in the ceiling to focus on the products. also profile lights are used across the ceiling and the wall.to create a dramatic effects.

he first floor of automation centre is designed as a set up of a residence of a living room, kitchen area, bedroom, closet space and a bathroom to showcase different products of automation. To design a bar unit along with sitting lounge, pool table and dance floor with a dj counter. Also a outdoor seating facing the poolside is required. A separate smoking zone is also the need of the hour. The theme of the interior should be inspired from music. Concept of the interiors should be vintage rustic which would create a cozy environment in itself , so that “people would like to spend more and more time here� according to the requirements of the clients,

he theme of the pub is music with concept vintage rustic. The walls have a texture paint to create a rustic feel along with brown leatherite tuffted sofas. Some elements of musical instruments are used such as trumpet chandeliers, drums pendent lights and drum based center tables. lacquered glass headphones and play buttons are present on the wall with cove lighting. wooden flooring is exaggerating the cozy feel of the space with the dim yellow lighting. There is provision for indoor tables like pool table and table football. Aso for the ceiling diagonal wooden coffered ceiling is used.

ar counter of pub silver moon is designed with barrels with golden strips and ligts. The bottle rack is also designed with mirrors and tiles with black and golden texture and golden finish thin pipes for the framework.. In front of the bar counter is a sitting area with high rised tables for twos. The ceiling of the bar counter has a modelled electric guitar to suit the musical theme. Record players are also placed on the wall and pillars.

he outer sitting area has high rise tables and stools with footrest that are facing the swing pool. the ceiling has a replica of piano keys with the white keys as lights. A bit of greenery is added by adding planter boxes at the end. They are adjacent to the windows which also give them the visual of the interiors.

Desk is illuminated with profile lights and the dance floor is in the theme of chess board of black and yellow. Unlike dance floors of different colors, it is creating a different and nostalgic environment with black and golden effect.. The spot lights used for the dance floor will also be in the same theme. Background of the DJ counter is also composed of discs of different sizes.

tandard room of Vinayak hospital, Sambalpur (Odisha) ,has a patient’s bed and a one armed sofa so that the attendent could use the sofa to sleep. Blue and white colours are used for the interiors as, blue is associated with credibility, trust, knowledge, cleanliness and calminess and hence medical industry prefer the color blue..

ipes for oxygen supply is taken care of also the electrical sockets, The standard room also consists of attached toilet. All functions of the room is taken care of.

eluxe patient’s room of Vinayak hospital has more facilities compared to the standard room. It has a sitting space where the visitors of the patients can wait or meet them. A separate bed is provided for the attendent. A small pantry unit is provided with a small microwave, mini fridge and washing area.

uitable for patients who has to be hospitalised for a long duration of time. For the privacy of the patients it is separated by curtains. Also, it is a air conditioned room.

To design a layout and exterior design for the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producer’s Federation Limited (OMFED). The requirements for the omfed parlour are deep fridgers, pastry coolers, display racks, cash counter, workstation seating area and seating area for the general public.Proper storage and display of al kind of dairy products should be taken care of.

The space was allotted to students to exhibit existing furniture of previous years students. It was a group project which we executed with two themes industrial and retro theme within a minimal budget. This was the industrial part. This part was kept darker as windows are covered with black sheets and blinds to make the space cozier.

This part was for the Retro Theme. In this part more natural light and vibrant colors are used . Also the wall was used for show casing the artwork of the fine arts students. Both the theme are executed in such a way that they blend with each other very nicely. Flooring was done by pasting wooden textured sheets and cushions and head back are made from recycled materials.
