SURAMASE PIRIYAKOSIT

ABOUT ME I GRADUATED FROM THAMMASAT UNIVERSITY IN DEPARTMENT OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE. FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING. I AM AN OPEN-MINDED, POSITIVE AND ADAPTATION PERSON WHO INTERESTED IN PUBLIC SPACE DESIGN, URBAN DESIGN, CONSERVATIVE AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT. THROUGH MANY YEARS OF STUDYING, I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE MANY TYPES OF LANDSCAPE. DESPITE THEIR DIFFERENCE IN GEOGRAPHY, CLIMATE, AND CULTURE. WHAT I NOTICE IN ALL OF THEM ARE THEIR BOUNDS THAT CONNECT TO ENVIRONMENT AND PEOPLE WHICH EMPHASIZE ON THE IMPORTANCE OF LANDSCAPE. THEREFORE, MY GOALS ARE TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEMS AND MINIMIZE IMPACTS ALONG WITH THINKING ABOUT AESTHETIC AND SENSE OF PLACE. I BELIEVE THESE ARE THE MAIN IDEAL WHICH IS IMPORTANT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND FOR A BETTER WORLD.

RIPARIAN CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION OF OLD TOWN PHRAE MUENG PHRAE PHRAE, THAILAND

The old town of Phrae and the Yom River have long been associated with it, both in terms of being a factor in the election and the city’s main river. It also consists of elements that reflect the cultural landscape from the past. In the founding of the city until now. From studies have shown that nowadays people are less focused on the Yom River. From the misuse of land, the lack of context of the area is taken into wrong way. Including historical value and ecosystem. The intrusion destroyed the riverside area that was valuable in the city’s cultural landscape. It is the idea of how to connect humans to natural areas by restoring the cultural value of the area.
