AS MEDICAL PRACTICE CONTINUES TO INCREASE IN COMPLEXITY, ORGANISATIONS NEED TO ENSURE THEY HAVE A BEST-IN-CLASS QUALITY CULTURE THAT CONTINUOUSLY EVOLVES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THEIR PATIENTS AND STAFF.

INTRODUCING MVI Established in 2013, MVI is a consortium of seven eminent postgraduate medical and dental training bodies in Ireland. Each of MVI’s constituent Training Bodies is accredited to provide specialty training in Ireland and to certify trainees who have completed training.

MVI is built upon the combined 750 years of experience of these bodies and brings together more than 150 expert Assessors covering all recognised specialties.

WHAT WE DO MVI has developed a number of assessment models to provide assurance that clinicians are adequately trained to practice in their given specialty and keeping up-to-date with developments in that specialty.

BASELINE VALIDATION ASSESSMENT

CYCLICAL RE-VALIDATION ASSESSMENT

This model benchmarks clinicians’ qualifications and training against the MVI standard and also examines the entire scope of clinical, managerial and academic activities.

This model builds on the original validation assessment and annual submissions to assess how initially identified developmental areas have been addressed by the clinician.

ANNUAL REVIEW

360° ASSESSMENTS

This Annual Review examines discrete aspects of a clinician’s profile to ensure the clinician’s ongoing professional development and engagement with validation.

MVI also provides bespoke multisource feedback programmes for healthcare professionals and patient surveys.

OTHER SERVICES Professional Development Schemes MVI partner bodies support the professional development of healthcare professionals across all specialties and disciplines and manage CME/CPD schemes on behalf on healthcare regulators in Ireland. MVI can work with clients to develop new CME/CPD programmes that are reflective of best international practice or to enhance / quality assure existing schemes.

Accreditation Programmes MVI partner bodies are responsible for accrediting the full breadth of healthcare education and training sites in Ireland at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels. We are uniquely positioned to work with healthcare regulators and healthcare providers in the development and delivery of accreditation programmes at a national or local level.

Bespoke Change Management Initiatives Given MVI’s international experience, and that of our partner bodies, we have the capacity and expertise necessary to deliver large-scale, bespoke change management programmes in healthcare organisations. Focus areas include education, training and assessment of healthcare professionals and consulting on accreditation and the maintenance of professional standards.
