Animal farms are places where people can interact with live animals, an experience that is not typical in the urban context of Singapore. Therefore, I started this project out of curiosity about whether it is still possible for citizens to experience interaction with farm animals in Singapore despite its land scarcity. Through this project, I have learnt more about Singaporeans’ perception towards having such places in Singapore, and even had a firsthand experience of the last privately run animal farm in the main island before it faded into non-existence. By consolidating the research into this booklet, I hope to share my realisations with you and open your mind about having places to engage with animals in Singapore. Enjoy! - Lee Xuan Ying, Diane
