As we look forward to starting a new year, we reflect on what was a mega busy year in the county in 2022...
There is no doubt things are now definitely back to normal after Covid, with a full calendar of events, Championships, RookieTour, Knock Outs, County Card events, Matches for all ages from U12 to Seniors.
Not to mention the day-to-day workload of assisting clubs and members, something that gives us the opportunity to keep up to date and understand what is happening throughout the county.
The Surrey office team and our fantastic volunteers work tirelessly to ensure we get all the events organised and played and in a professional way. 2023 will be even busier for us as Surrey County Golf celebrates its Centenary, there is an array of events and competitions being planned, such as a Pro-Am, Stableford Competition, Captain & Pro, a dinner and a fantastic ‘coffee table’ book about the history of Surrey Golf.
All the details will be on the Surrey website in the New Year as well as being sent to every club to share with its members so we can enable as many players as possible to be involved.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the clubs who supported the county by hosting our championships, matches and other events in 2022 and those who will be doing so in 2023.
