Survival Seeds 1. Introduction
Pictured here is just part of my personal seed bank. My entire send bank consists of over 3 million seeds and over 150 varieties. I continue to locate, buy and test heirloom seeds from various companies to enlarge our seed bank storage as well as planting some now to enjoy during the current growing season. I can tell you right now after having purchased and tested various companies that if you want high quality heirloom, organic, open pollinated, non gmo seeds that you can trust Texas Ready, Heirloom Organics, Veganseeds, My Patriot Supply and Quality Seeds Northwest. When you’re looking to build your seed bank, running to a retail store and grabbing a few envelopes of seeds is not going to cut it. You need a deep large bank of seeds for you to sow, store and share. Now I know there are some survivalist that have stacks of freeze dried foods, canned goods and so on that can last months if not years… and that’s fine… until… …Until the food runs out and you have no way to replenish your food supply.

Survival Seeds No matter how much food you have in storage, it will never last forever… Seeds? Now that’s a different story, they can last beyond your life time. In fact you can pass the seeds you save from each harvest down through generations and generations never losing your edge of self-sufficiency. When it comes to food storage versus seed banks, I believe it’s not an either or situation, it’s a BOTH situation. You can use your food storage for instant nutrition while you get your garden going. That said, I personally believe that if you own a seed bank then you should already be growing your own food out doors or indoors in containers inside of a grow tent. By starting to grow your own food now (especially if you have little experience at it) you can develop your skills and develop the habit of food self-sufficiency before things go “boom!” But wait… what if you can’t even get seeds any more. What if the hei rloom seeds, organic seeds, open pollinated seeds and non gmo seeds were all banned and you were no longer able to get them. Oh you will still be able to get seeds, they will just be the gmo type frankenseeds that lack personality, flavor and any nutritional value. But gmo seeds won’t leave you empty handed. They will give you a tsunami of toxins that will destroy you like a chemotherapy drip in your veins. And that’s why I wrote this book with an associate of mine. I wanted to bring to your attention the “seeds of deception” that have already been sown and the coming harvest of banning the wholesome seeds that you and I cherish as God’s gift of real food that comes from the land. This is urgent so I don’t want to take too much more time here, I’d like to get right in to things. I do want to ask you in advance to please forgive and pardon any typos and grammer errors. 2. What Is the Monsanto Protection Act and Why Is It Dangerous? Barack Obama is a president that is significant in many ways. As the first American president of African origin, his ascent to the presidency is nothing short of historic. In addition to this, he prioritized some laws that possibly affect Americans the right way. But of course, just like any other president, he has committed misfires both real and imagined. And one of the misfires he made can conceivably alter the health of all Americans, not to mention adversely affect the ecological balance of farmlands all over America. What is the Monsanto Protection Act and why is it dangerous? The Monsanto Protection Act, also known as Bill H.R. 933, is a bill introduced by Kentucky Representative Harold Rogers on March 4, 2013. It was passed into law on March 26, 2013, thanks to a signature by no less than President Barack Obama. Because of the passing of this law, environmentalists, consumer groups, and plant enthusiasts are equal parts disappointed and alarmed. What are the reasons why people are so terrified and disappointed about this law? And why do people consider this as a virtual green light for those who are investing on genetically modified plants? 1. Federal courts now can’t stop the sale of seeds of geneti cally modified organisms or plants (GMO) - GMOs spark fear and doubt from people everywhere because of their immense potential for destructive effects. There’s always the fear that GMOs can cause health problems to humans and other organisms. It’s the very reason why US courts are empowered to stop the sale of these seeds. But with the passing of this law, that’s not the case anymore. Hence, US citizens are virtually powerless in stopping GMO seed companies such as Monsanto from selling their genetically-engineered products. 2. This law is apparently crafted without the knowledge of most of Congress - There’s widespread dissent among congressmen because the Monsanto Protection Act was slipped into the bill without their knowledge. Most of the debate was centered on its supposed endowment of government powers for paying bills. After all, H.R. 933 is classified as a spending bill. But the “Monsanto Provision” was actually slipped into the bill without the knowledge of most congressmen. And the few who did know about it apparently colluded with biotech companies.

This law is apparently created in collusion with Monsanto According to some people, the language in which this law is written is apparently done with biotech companies, especially GMO seed makers , in mind. One fact that stirs curiosity among people is Missouri Senator Roy Blunt’s direct connection with Monsanto. Blunt worked with Monsanto to create a provision that allows them to continue distributing seeds for planting. It proves that while governmentcompany collusions are rare, these collusions can bring about really destructive change. 4. This law can potentially serve as a dangerous precedent - The passing of this law sends the wrong message to the rest of America. For consumers, it sends a message to them that the government will not care for them, as long as the price is right. And as for companies and other business entities, it gives them a message that they can actually collude with the government to create laws that put them at a distinct advantage, even at the cost of consumer rights. 5. The president is apparently part of the conspiracy - Critics of the Monsanto Protection Act would point out to the sneaky means in which this bill was passed into law. And Obama actually played an active part in allowing the passing of the law. The law was passed at a time when the rest of America had their entire attention on the bill regarding gay marriage. But of course, there are still people who opposed the passing of the law. In fact, more than a quarter of a million signatures were collected to oppose H.R. 933. In fact, there are some who even protested in front of the White House. And yet, Obama still passed the bill into law. There are many reasons why the American people are so mad about the passing of this law. After all, nobody wants to run the risk of getting sick because of the effects of consuming food made from genetically engineered sources. But of course, there is no real way of avoiding it, thanks to the provisions made in this law. To say the least, such a provision will cause panic to every single person in the USA (actually, the rest of the world can get affected too). But the real threat of getting sick is much worse than the panic of actually serving GMO foods on the table. What makes this provision even worse for people everywhere is the fact that courts, even at the federal level, cannot stop the sale of these genetically modified seeds. This very provision practically dooms citizens to the fact that they’re defenseless in the event that these seeds cause destructive effects. GMOs made the wrong way can have a devastating effect on health in the

Survival Seeds form of poisoning or even physical/physiological alterations at the genetic level. In addition to the health consequences, nature is also put at risk. Other than the fact that it can affect the available gene pool in a particular population of plants, these plants can also potentially contaminate the plants they are grown with. Not only can they drive native plants to the point of elimination, but they can also cause destructive effects to nature. GMOs can deplete natural resources, and there’s always the potential of these plants to cause farmlands to become uninhabitable for all life forms. Because of the Monsanto Protection Act, we are rendered powerless against these giant businesses. Even with studies that tend to show that these plants cause destructive effects, the law cannot stop these plants from being sold. As such, this law, created via the connivance of biotech companies and the US government, puts American citizens in harm’s way. And the dangerous thing about it is the people are virtually defenseless in the event that it does cause harm. GMO's have overrun the marketplace and polluted our plates and battered our bodies with toxins causing sickness, disease and even death. Like the old frog in the slow boil, we are in a pot of poison about to boil to death from the lethal injections being administered to us via the food supply. Isn't it interesting that while President Obama signed the Monsanto Protection Act into law, the he and those in the White House actually have their own non-gmo organic garden where they grow their own foods that the chefs cook from? Isn't it interesting that while the government is laying siege to your seeds, forcing the bad gmo seeds on the population that they have stocked piled millions of pure organic, heirloom and non-gmo seeds in The Svalbard Global "Doomsday Seed Vault� ...? And let me add one more thing here... Food prices are soaring and many people cannot afford to eat healthy meals because it is now relatively more expensive than unhealthy products. The cheapest and fastest meals you can drive-thru and snatch up are deadly, poisonous and devoid of anything good. Sure, you can wolf it all down and feel full... but in that case you really would be full of crap! Food prices are leaping higher while the nutritional value is dropping to zero.
