It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas…well, the best it could with Covid-19 still hanging around.

In this ‘twilight zone’ of pandemic living, our hotels really pulled together over the festive period despite it still being a diffi cult time for so many.

With everyone wanting to make each minute count, party groups joined us for our end-of-year celebrations, dancing the night away after a tasty three-course meal.

We realised what we can achieve when times are challenging and how our team can come together to create some great memories, whatever the circumstances. Thanks to our guests and to every member of our incredible team.

Dragonfl y Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

We couldn’t get enough of the season of goodwill at Dragonfl y Peterborough. Whether it was a hearty, festive dinner, afternoon tea with mince pies, a glass of mulled wine in relaxing surroundings or a cheerful party night, it was a pleasure to share Christmas with our guests. There’s nothing quite like letting your hair down and taking the stress away by letting someone else worry about the cooking and entertaining, and after another pandemic year, this was needed more than ever.

Of course, we couldn’t have done it without our fabulous team. And now, we can’t wait to create more memories with you throughout 2022, which we hope will bring happier and healthier times for everyone!

Dragonfl y Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

We certainly ended 2021 with a bang with guests enjoying a spectacular evening of festive dining and dancing.

It was a real privilege to host party nights for our local community, including those very hardworking key workers, including staff from the NHS and Goldstar Transport.

Our festive Barley & Graze menu hit the spot, with fresh, local produce making our traditional Christmas dinner a winner. Everything went down a treat – there’s no ‘sprout’ about it! And, of course, not forgetting the hardworking team front of house and behind the scenes. It was a pleasure ensuring party nights went without a hitch and a big thankyou goes to our resident DJ for some great music – it certainly wasn’t a Silent Night!

Dragonfl y Colchester, Essex

Over our Christmas period, Dragonfl y Colchester welcomed families and businesses from all over the town and further afi eld in Essex.

Guests were treated to a welcome drink, a festive three-course dinner and a fantastic DJ for their evening entertainment. And although the pandemic was still very much with us, each guest left with a full stomach and a smile on their face – and maybe a sore head the next morning!

Thank you to our guests for their support in making Christmas 2021 a massive success, and to our team for their dedication, hard work and true festive spirit.
