Susan Arbetter

Her official title is News & Public Affairs Director for the Syracuse public broadcaster WCNY, but Arbetter can be found every weekday on the 3rd Floor of the State Capitol in Albany, producing and hosting a 1-hour public radio show about New York State politics and policy. "The Capitol Pressroom" features political candidates, newsmakers, policy experts, pundits and the hard-working reporters of the Legislative Correspondents Association who write for papers such as the Albany Times Union, New York Daily News, Gannett, New York Times, Newsday and AP. A few of the recent guests Susan has hosted include Governor Andrew Cuomo, SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher, Regents Chancellor Merryl Tisch, Majority Leader Dean Skelos, former Assistant Defense Secretary Lawrence Korb, educator Diane Ravitch, and journalist Steven Brill.
