Friday Fridge Notes January 28, 2011
Announcements Hot off the press! After much effort and hours of hard work, the new Gailer School viewbook is complete and available for you to take home. We hope that you enjoy this glimpse into all that The Gailer School has to offer and that it gives you a sense of what makes us special. We also ask that you share the viewbook with friends and families who may be interested in learning more about our school. We are looking for venues to display our viewbook, such as libraries and visitor centers. If you are able to help us by taking books and placing them in strategic spots, it will increase the school’s exposure in the community. The books are available at the front desk at school. Please take one book per family, and let Kitty or Susan Bechhoefer know if you'd like more to place in the community and where you’ll be placing them. Special thanks go out to Mary Lower and Alison Connor Lockwood for making the viewbook possible; and to Todd Warnock (Ainaka's husband) for the creation and creative design of the viewbook.
The Gailer School’s Gala Auction Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 9th at Carol’s Hungry Mind Café! This is our big fundraising event of the year, which enables us to offer scholarships to students from our local community as well as the global one. We need everyone to participate in the event in order to make it a success, AND it’s a lot of fun to get to know each other better by working together! Right now we are asking you to think of any quality items that you could contribute to the silent auction. Here are some ideas for items we are looking for: Art Jewelry Wearable Art/Clothing (Any knitters, sewing whizzes, felters etc. out there?)
