September Schedule Get the Art, Life, Fit & Adventure Edge! Get Styling (Introduction to Cosmetology) Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a cosmetologist? Is it just hair styling or does it encompass more? Learn the basics of cosmetology to include the history of the profession, maintaining healthy hair, styling, make-up application and more! The final class students will have the opportunity to display their talent for all to share. Open to youth 6th-12th grade. Mondays &Wednesdays, Sept. 8, 13,15, 20,22, 27 & 29. The program will not be conducted on Sept. 6 in observance of Labor Day.

DJ 101 (Introduction to DJing) Ever wonder what it is like to step behind the turntables and mix? This introductory class will teach the fundamentals of DJing. Whether you want to dj parties, battle or learn a new hobby this class is for you. Open to youth 6th- 12th grade. Mondays & Tuesdays, Sept. 7,13,14, 20, 21, 27 & 28. The program will not be conducted on September 6 in observance of Labor Day.

Dive In…Jr. Open Water Diver Course (SCUBA DIVING) Dive into the unique experience of an underwater adventure. Learn open water SCUBA diving from the certified dive masters of C&J Divers. Through this program students will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. They will also have the opportunity to receive an open water PADI certification and college credit. Students are required to provide their own bathing suits, towels, and must be able to swim. Open to youth 6th -12th grade. Tuesdays/Thursdays for two weeks only– Sept. 14, 16, 21 & 23. Class times are 5 pm - 8:45 pm. The field trip for certification will be conducted on September 25 & 26.

Tee Off... (Golf) Build character and integrity in this gentlemen’s game. Learn the FUNdamentals from golf pro Chuck Mcphilomy and receive hands on guidance by one of the best. Great for any new beginner and an opportunity to introduce newcomers to the sport. Hone your skills, because the final round will include a competition and the chance to win prizes. Open to youth in 6th-12th grade. Wednesdays Sept. 8, 15, 22 & 29.

Intro to Pottery (Hand building) Let your creativity flow as you create works of arts with pottery enthusiasts from Apache Arts and Crafts Center. The class starts with the basics – the materials and safety, then participants can unleash their creative genius. Finally, your creation will be on display for all to see at Apache Arts and Crafts Center. Open to youth 6th -12th grade. Thursdays - Sept. 9, 16, 23 & 30. Climbing to New Heights…(Intro to Rock Climbing) Rocks, Boulders, and more, oh my! Overcoming obstacles is just part of the challenge in this activity. Climb to new heights, as you develop the basics of rock climbing and climber etiquette, to include safety, the different types of climbing and belaying your fellow climbers. Open to youth 6th-12th grade. Fridays - September 10, 17, 24 & Oct. 1, this program will end at 7:30 pm.

Splat! Paintball...Learn safety, responsibility, sportsmanship, strategy, and tactics through the game of paintball. Each week youth will be involved in highly structured paintball activities and games supervised by professionals. Open to youth 6th-12th grade.
