Every photo shoot has its challenges. Add a playful West Highland terrier and a profusion of soap bubbles to the mix, and the creative process can quickly degenerate into a chaotic free-for-all. So when Playtex needed a stylish dog-washing shot to promote their new drip-catch gloves, they were in the market for an experienced problem solver. I was delighted when they chose Chris Collins Studio to produce, shoot and retouch the ad. We took care of ever ything from creating a sunny set with a few perfect props to casting a dog capable of maintaining its composure while sitting in a tub full of bubbles. We brought in an exper t dog handler and made a special point of hiring a hand model with a penchant for pups. Our prop stylist rounded up an impressive array of laundr y tubs and towels. We even concocted a for mula for ultra long-lasting suds. To create the look of bright sunlight flooding in through a kitchen window, we bounced two strobes through a large sheet of diffusion and placed a few out-of-focus hydrangeas in the background. As you can see, the shoot was an unqualified success. The client was thrilled, and ever yone including the winsome white fellow in the tub left our studio relaxed, pampered, well-fed and squeaky clean. If you like what you see, why not give us a call? Maybe we can solve a problem for you. Sincerely,
