It’s March 15. THE DAY OUR STUDENT TUITION DOLLARS RUN OUT. Yep, that’s right. The tuition buck stops here — on March 15. We’re only three quarters of the way through our academic year, but the last dollar paid by families for a Loyola education has been spent. It’s not bad financial planning on our part — just a desire to make a Loyola Academy education accessible to students from all income brackets.

Like most Jesuit schools, Loyola funds only a portion of its operating expenses with tuition revenues. In fact, the entire fourth quarter of our school year is funded by generous gifts from alumni like you. Without alumni support through the Annual Fund, tuition rates would rise — and many students would not be able to afford the cost of a Loyola education. Just as our generous alumni covered the cost of your fourth quarter when you were a Rambler, now we’re asking you to do the same.

The Vibern Challenge To encourage more young alumni to give to the Annual Fund, The Vibern Foundation is matching all gifts from Loyola alumni who graduated between the years of 1990 and 2007. That means your gift will count twice. And, if you’re a first-time Annual Fund donor, Vibern will match your gift 2 to 1 — tripling the impact of

THE BUCK STOPS HERE. If Loyola relied solely on tuition and fees for operating support, the school year would have to end today. From this day forward, the cost of a Loyola education is covered not by students and families, but by donors like you. Jesuit education is truly a team effort. It can’t happen without your support.
