South Campus Bus Information Destination signs on the buses can be confusing, however, they are very helpful for students who need to travel from South Campus to Syracuse Stage and the Warehouse. If you are just trying to get to campus, it’s important to know that every bus that travels through South Campus operates to the main bus hub at College Place. Listed below are some of the destination signs you may see operating to your bus stop on South Campus and an explanation of where they go. “344-South Campus” - operates the South Campus route as far as College Place “244-Slocum Heights” – operates as far as College Place “444-Small Road” – operates as far as College Place “44-Manley” – operates as far as College Place “#43 Waverly Avenue” – operates to College Place, then continues down Sims Drive past Archbold Gym and the Carrier Dome. The #43 Waverly Avenue bus then operates on Irving Avenue to Waverly Avenue and will get you close to Whitman School of Management and Newhouse “#443-Connective Corridor” – operates to College Place, then continues down Sims Drive past Archbold Gym and the Carrier Dome. The #443 then operates on Irving Avenue to Syracuse Stage and then on to the Warehouse
Route Information #344 South Campus shuttles operate seven days a week until 2:50 a.m. #344 shuttles serve all South Campus shuttle stops and operates to College Place and Manley, however many #344 trips continue to Syracuse Stage and the Warehouse (these trips will have #443 Connective Corridor destination signs). All #344 shuttles are accessible, and have bike racks. #44 Manley shuttles operate weekdays between the hours of 6:17 and 10:08 a.m. and 2:37 and 5:17 p.m. #44 shuttles serve the Skytop Office Building, Skyhall Circle and Manley, and continues to College Place. All #44 shuttles are accessible, and have bike racks. #444 Small Road shuttles operate weekdays only and are designed specifically for peak service during busy class times. The #444 Small Road’s short route starts at University Village Apartments and covers all bus stops along Small Road. #244 Slocum Heights shuttles operates through Slocum Heights and continues along all bus stops on Small Road. This bus operates weekdays during busy class times. Note: The #443 Connective Corridor and the #43 Waverly Avenue are not South Campus routes, however, several buses that leave South Campus housing continue as a #443 Connective Corridor or #43 Waverly Avenue route.
Guest Parking All overnight guests must be registered with the Office of Residence Life. This policy is designed for the safety of residents, guests, and other members of the University community. To obtain an overnight guest parking pass, complete an Overnight Guest Registration Form from the ORL website. Then bring the following to the office of Parking and Transit Services to purchase a permit: • • •
Completed and approved overnight guest registration form Guest license plate number Make, model and color of vehicle
Permits may be purchased with cash, check or credit card for Manley and South Campus lots and some Main Campus lots depending upon space constraints. On event days, game day parking rates apply to guest permits. Students without the correct printout and/or without the appropriate vehicle information will not be able to purchase a permit. To the Regional Transportation Center The Amtrack, Greyhound and New York Trailways buses all depart from the Regional Transportation Center. Please refer to the Centro Syracuse University Hill Hospital schedule at: http://parking.syr.edu/other-transportation-resources/ for a list of shuttle times to and from the Regional Transportation Center. Please note that Trailways operates a shuttle to New York City from the Syracuse University campus. • Students can call any of the local taxi companies for transportation to the airport. • The Syracuse University Student Association does contract shuttle service between Main Campus, the Regional Transportation Center and the airport before and after major breaks. Check the Student Association social media feeds for details during the appropriate time of the semester.
Bus Around Syracuse Syracuse University Offers free shuttle service to Tops Market with your SU Student ID. You will need to get to Main Campus and take the Drumlins #340 or #340C bus route to Tops Market. This bus picks up at the College Place bus stop on Main Campus. The Drumlins schedule can be found on the Centro website at: https://www.centro.org/docs/default-source/scheduledocuments/syracuse-schedules/sy-40-drumlins.pdf?sfvrsn=8 * Link subject to change
Centro operates daily bus service to the Destiny Mall for $2.00 in each direction. Schedule information can be found at : https://www.centro.org/docs/default-source/scheduledocuments/syracuse-schedules/sy-40-su-hill.pdf? sfvrsn=2 *The Student Association provides free shuttle service to the mall on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the school year. Please refer to the Parking and Transit Services website for dates and time that this service is provided. **Note‌we do not yet have this schedule information.
Zip Car Students, faculty, and staff from SU have been taking advantage of this car-sharing program by self-reserving (through online and mobile devices) one of the 16 Zipcars on campus – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Zipcars are conveniently located on the SU campus in the following areas. Main Campus:
