Love Supreme Festival

Love Supreme Festival launched in 2013 and was quickly hailed as one of the best new festivals in the UK, before becoming the largest outdoor jazz festival in Europe, thanks to a unique blend of world-class artists from across the jazz, soul, R&B and funk spectrum.

Hailed as “an eclectic, cross-generational, multifaceted celebration” by The Guardian (and given five stars), the festival is located within the grounds of Glynde Place nestled in the stunning South Downs, approximately 20 minutes from Brighton and just over an hour from central London by train or by car.

The festival has hosted legends such as Earth,

Wind & Fire, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, Gregory Porter, Nile Rodgers and Chick Corea. Since its inception the festival has been a key part of the explosion of the British jazz scene over the last ten years, hosting contemporary stars such as Little Simz, Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas, Mahalia and countless more. The festival takes place on the first weekend of July every year and offers the classic British festival camping experience, alongside a range of luxury options and day tickets. Leading in contemporary horticulture One Garden Brighton is a historic walled garden, rediscovered, reinvented, and proudly opened as a centre for learning and education by Plumpton College. The walled garden is open daily and free to the public. We nourish relationships with our community, recognising the importance and contribution of local producers, makers and growers.

We use our gardens, restaurant and market to promote learning through food, plants and the environment. At One Garden we teach modern horticulture, floristry and contemporary land-based education through a range of part time courses and workshops led by expert tutors from the college.

The newly built restaurant, One Kitchen, aims where possible to serve local, seasonal dishes with meat and wine produced by our students and prepared by our apprentices and chefs. We have a thriving calendar of events to showcase the beauty of the surroundings.

One Market is a busy and vibrant space where you will find something different every day. We proudly present the best produce and craft producers Sussex has to offer.

Local businesses are paramount to what we do. With our network of visitors, suppliers and teachers we celebrate the achievements of the people in our community. We love discovering local people with ideas to bring to our wonderful garden. www.onegardenbrighton.com
