Highways survey, photo exhibition, communities, fraud & scams

Highways survey Our thanks to the 200 Findon Valley residents who responded to our 2022 survey. This provided very useful feedback, that will help us in discussion with the County and Borough councils. The poor condition of pavements is, understandably, your greatest concern! Photo exhibition Our Library display of old photos of the Valley was enjoyed by many. The nostalgic and fascinating images can be viewed in the Gallery on our new website www.fvra.org.uk . Do have a browse, and bookmark our website. Safer communities As a new initiative the Borough Council’s Safer Communities Partnership is hosting drop-in sessions at Findon Valley Library on the last Wednesday in each month, 1pm to 3pm, through to November inc. Residents are welcome to call in informally and discuss their concerns such as security, scams, fire safety and anti-social behaviour. Frauds and scams On Saturday 17 September (10am) FVRA will be hosting a Fraud and Scam Awareness event at Findon Valley Free Church Hall, led by Police Community Support Officer Jason Lemm. Everyone is welcome to this useful free event. Farmers’ market Our next monthly market in Lime Tree Surgery’s car park will be Sunday 28 August, 10am to 2pm. An interesting and relaxing bank holiday event with an eclectic variety of local small-trader stalls. Do come along! www.findonvalley.org
