Money Matters

Keeping your finances in order

Money doesn't grow on trees; in fact for most of us it is only accumulated through years of hard work. It makes sense therefore to look after it wisely and this can often be best achieved with professional help. Ivan Lyons (above) of Investment Solutions spoke to Sussex Local about the financial services offered and their approach to guiding clients through the sometimes labyrinthine world of investments and tax planning. Clients approach the company for many reasons including advice about investments, pension planning, making provision for long-term care, the benefits or otherwise of equity release and Inheritance Tax planning. In all instances, he told us, the dedicated team of advisers and administrators will always put the client's aspirations at the forefront and devise a plan which prioritises their specific requirements. Ivan explained that the initial review is free of charge and will begin with a discussion about the client's main concerns. There is no obligation to proceed but clients who decide to take further advice will be offered a tailored programme with a dedicated named adviser on hand to answer any queries which may arise. The firm's goal at all times is to make the client journey as simple and stress free as possible. Of course, financial advice will involve costs but Ivan confirmed that charges can be structured to suit clients’ circumstances and are always discussed openly and transparently. Ivan joined Investment Solutions in 2008 and took partial ownership and became Director in 2011. He has reached the status of Fellow and Chartered Financial planner of the Chartered Insurance Institute. When not working, Ivan is a keen runner and is on his way to his 300th full marathon!
