VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES We have over 250 volunteering opportunities registered with us of which most recruit all year round. This week we registered the following new volunteering placements with us:

1) Cricket Club Fundraising Manager with Sussex Cricket Board (560) The Sussex Cricket Board, in association with Sussex County Cricket Club, is responsible for the development of all forms of cricket across the county. You will be volunteering on behalf of Palmers Cricket Club, Hove who are a cricket club offering recreational cricketing opportunities to all people in the local area, and with whom the Sussex Cricket Board work to support and develop. Your role is to identify different funding streams in order to support the development of the Palmers Cricket Club. Tasks include: To understand the financial requirements of the club; To obtain financial and in kind sponsorship; To utilise existing ECB partnerships i.e. through CricketForce; To identify all funding possibilities, ranging from match day opportunities to larger fundraising events; To seek alternative external funding opportunities e.g. Local Authority, Sport England, County Sports Partnerships, www.fundrazor.com, Charitable trusts etc. 2) Youth Ranger with Sussex Wildlife Trust (561) The aim of the trust is to conserve the Sussex landscape, wildlife and its habitats, and to use its knowledge and expertise to help the people of Sussex to enjoy, understand and take action to this end. You will engage in a variety of activities: fire lighting, bushcraft and green woodworking, tool use, planting and composting, meadow planting, surveying and monitoring wildlife, pond maintenance, enhancing habitats,
