Join us for the excitement of farm-to-table dining year round, with some of the most talented chefs this side of the Mississippi sourcing unique local fare for their menus. Start your morning off with breakfast at Old Town Café – a morning institution with options for vegans to omnivores and everything in between. Peruse the antique shops and mini mall down the block to find local treasures and head up Holly St. to Railroad and State Streets for more shopping. If it’s Tue-Fri, enjoy lunch at Ciao Thyme, recently voted Bellingham’s Best Lunch, for a truly local meal and memorable lunch experience. Afterwards explore Joe’s Garden, an urban farm just South of downtown to check out their thriving landscape and farm stand. Make the loop through Fairhaven and Boulevard Park, and when dinner time rolls around, check out one of these new hip spots: Maikham (farm-to-table thai) or Cosmos Bistro (locally-sourced comfort fare). Rest your head at The Chrysalis Inn & Spa for a great view of beautiful Bellingham Bay, just a few minutes walk from downtown Fairhaven.

Explore Cloud Mountain Farm Center’s beautiful farm and nursery, with dozens of fruit tree varieties, organic vegetables and nursery products, out near Everson. For lunch, head to Good To Go Meat Pies in Everson or Lynden for a delightful scratch made pasty and soup. BelleWood Acres is an awesome spot for kids of all ages with train rides, u-pick apples, a pumpkin patch, and a distillery and tasting room with spirits made from their apples. For more tastes, head east to Samson Estates Winery, with fruit-based and traditional wines that are sure to please. Still going strong? A favorite spot is The North Fork Brewery on the Mt. Baker Hwy near Deming. You won’t want to miss this pizzeria, beer shrine, wedding chapel and microbrewery.
