Energy Experience & Pricing by Energy Floors

TM

CONTENT The Sustainable Dance Floor (SDF) is the first floor that converts human movement into usable electricity. The SDF modules connected to different applications create the ‘Energy Experience’; interactive feedback systems that entertain, inspire ánd inform. More information about the creators of Energy Floors, the SDF and various case studies can be found in the documents ‘Introducing SDF’, ‘Outdoor Events’ and ‘Case Studies’. In this document you can find examples of different sized installations and all applications that we can connect to the floor. All applications can be combined in the way the customer wants. A price list gives an idea of the prices of our installations for both rental and purchase.

“... a fun, brand-driven interactive experience powered by the energy created by attendees on a sustainable dance floor. Created in Europe, the technology converts the movement of people into usable electricity that powers the attendee experience for the ultimate in green exhibit design. When we discovered this technology, we knew that Exhibitor2012 was the perfect place to bring this idea to North America’s exhibit industry and spread our message of brand activation.”

APPLICATIONS TO CREATE AN ENERGY EXPERIENCE

Energy Tower

Sustainable Dance Floor Modules

The energy tower module provides visual feedback of the amount of energy produced by the crowd dancing on the energy floor modules. The energy tower module is a visually attractive product of 2 meters in height, made of high tech materials and filled with led lights. Using the accompanied softÂŹware, users can set an upper threshold that sets the maximum level. In the meter, five different levels (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%) can be distinguished.

Dance Floor modules of 75x75cm generating energy as well as data, creating an interactive floor that monitors the movement of the dancers. Visual feedback is immediately given by the LED lights in the floor; these light up when modules are being stepped on. The sensitivity, patterns and colours can be adjusted, basically creating a giant LED screen.

Digital Energy Meter software

Energy Battery

A software application that shows both the instantaneous power (in watt) and the total power produced (in joule). This information can be displayed on any screen, preferably large and in high resolution. The appearance of the meter and the information displayed can be completely customized to the wishes of the client.

A 2,5 meter high LED battery working in the same way the Energy Tower does, but with more visual impact. The battery can be used to create a climax in a large dancing crowd or to attract visitors to a booth or location where the floor is installed.

APPLICATIONS TO CREATE AN ENERGY EXPERIENCE

Gaming Systems

Photo-Application

Special software in combination with various applications make it possible to create competitions and games. For example the Energy Battle, where the total electricity generated for different groups at the same time is measured and shown on a screen. Or every module produces a different sound, creating an interactive instrument.

The Photo-Application is a perfect example for a combination of sustainability and interaction. The dancing crowd can see the energy meter tower (or battery) going up to 100%: once this happens, the camera takes a photo of all the dancers. This picture is shown on the energy meter, and can be printed on the spot or used afterwards online (social media). Can be used with DJ or band, but also with in comÂŹbination with a headphone disco.

Charging or Powering

Red Push Button A red button next to the floor or on the DJ booth that communicates with the floor and the connected applications. It can be used by a DJ, a host or the visitors themselves to (for example) start a game, or release the energy by triggering external systems when the Energy Meters are full.

Connecting your mobile phone to the floor is one of the best ways to make energy tangible for the average visitor. Furthermore, the floor can charge, trigger or power external systems such as music, video screens LED lights, generators, etc.

SMALL FLOOR Small floor (4 Modules)

Example of 4 floor modules

Surface: 2,25m2 Measurements: 1,5 x 1,5m Capacity: max. 4 persons

Applications we recommend to connect:

creating the following Energy Experience: Visitors can see the energy meter going up while dancing. Once the tower is charged to 100%, a camera takes a photo of the dancers on the floor. This photo is shown on the digital meter and can be printed on the spot (branded) or used online afterwards.

A great set up engaged the visitors in an interactive energy experience. 4 modules in Australian Museum in Sydney for “Climate Change exhibition.

MEDIUM FLOOR Example of 9 floor modules

Medium floor (9 modules) Surface: 5m2 Measurements: 2,25 x 2,25m Capacity: max 9 persons

Applications we recommend to connect:

creating the following Energy Experience: The energy meters show the energy that is generated for each team; the team that fills the energy meter first wins! Connecting a mobile phone to the floor immediately shows what you can do with you own energy; move on the floor and the phone starts charging! -5-

LARGE FLOOR Large floor (16 modules)

Example of 16 floor modules

Surface: 9m2 Measurements: 3x3m Capacity: max 16 persons Applications we recommend to connect:

creating the following Energy Experience: The energy meters respond to the movement on the floor. The battery is charging while visitors dance; once the battery is completely full, the ‘party is charged’ and the floor, the battery and the tower are blinking. Once the DJ or host presses the red button, the camera takes a picture of the climax of the party. Afterwards the game start over again!
