New Location - New Inspiration We moved our R&D Center and Showroom to the very unique RDM Campus, in the heart of the Rotterdam Port. From the outskirts of Rotterdam to RDM Campus – Innovation Dock: a monumental industrial hall of 23,000m2 which is part of the campus for education and business of Research, Design and Manufacturing. We feel at home at this very sustainable location, surrounded by like-minded companies.

_______________________________ Summer Review Aug/Sep '13 The past few month showed once again, that energy harvesting from movement is fun, regardless the occasion. Whether on a corporate event, a trade fair, a music festival, a brand activation or in an educational environment, a positive impact was created everywhere. 8 million joules have been generated since the beginning of this year and we have reached about 250,000 people with our message. This summer we realized many exciting installations in Switzerland, Ireland, Germany and the US.

Electric Ireland powered Electric Picnic Festival

Last weekend a huge power plant consisting of 90 Sustainable Dance Floor tiles was installed at Electric Picnic in Ireland to collect as much energy from movement as possible during the festival weekend. Like last year, Mr. Motivator will heated up the crowd in the ‘Dancergy’ booth, by pulling off his 80's/90’s moves on the kinetic dance floor.

Energy Challenge Club Tour

The creative agency Eventattitude used our Energy Floor to support their brand activation campaign for Belvedere Vodka in Belgium. 5 parties in different clubs were organized to activate the vodka brand. The visitors joined the Belvedere Vodka Energy Challenge by stepping on the Sustainable Dance Floor and generating enough energy to activate the Photo Application. Not only did they get a photo taken, but also a voucher to buy a 2nd bottle of Belvedere for half the price. Energy Floors and Eventattitude work together from now on to develop advanced interactive applications.

Science Museum in Oregon

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is a scientific, educational, and cultural resource center. OMSI makes science exciting and relevant through exhibits, programs, and experiences that are presented in an entertaining and participatory way. Recently, the Sustainable Dance Floor has been installed permanently in the 'Earth Hall'.

___________________________ Product development Energy Floors has teamed up with Dutch construction company Ballast Nedam. Together we will investigate new and innovative ways to integrate our floor technology into temporary and permanent buildings. Our first combined project is designing a self supporting entertainment stage that is totally powered by nature and by people.

Our co-development with the Russian Railway Research Institute (VNIIZHT) is proceeding and aims to renew our kinetic floor to be suitable for large scale industrial installations. The pilot project will take place before the end of this year in a special test facility in Moscow. You will definitely hear more from us about both partnerships later this year.

_______________________________ Of course we continue harvesting energy be up to date with our plans for fall 2013!
