SUWANEE’S PLANET SMOOTHIE CELEBRATES 13 YEARS OF SERVING THE SUWANEE COMMUNITY.

THIS MAY , Suwanee’s Planet Smoothie will celebrate 13 years in business — that’s 13 years of not only mixing up delicious smoothies and acai bowls, but also 13 years of being a valuable part of our community. Former teachers Karen Hendrix and Kristin Scott opened Planet Smoothie in Town Center in May of 2010, and over the years have made it a priority to pay it forward to schools and teachers throughout Suwanee.

Karen and Kristin are standout members of our community: both live in Suwanee, are members of Gwinnett Church, and love volunteering in the community and giving back in any way they can — and they have carried that passion over to their business.

Planet Smoothie provides smoothies to the teachers and staff of local elementary and middle schools, and they help to support high schools through sports, the band, and chorus.

Reflecting on the success of the past decade, Kristin and Karen look forward to what the future will bring. “We love Suwanee and look forward to continuing to serve our community,” Kristin says. “Thank you for supporting our locally owned small business!”

As for the community they help to support, we look forward to many more years of healthy and delicious smoothies served fresh from one of our favorite shops in Suwanee Town Center. Congrats on 13 years! ■
