Design Modern and edgy, this is not your average football table this is a true eye-catcher. The three colors are customizable to fit to your logo or interior. This design is from sheet metal with bending patterns, and put together with nuts and bolds When assembled the body pulls itself into the right shape, and the added plates in the legs secure it’s strength.

Project Design a football table that can be shipped as a flat package, and easily be assembled with standard tools.

SEGG 2020 Project: Urban Seating Material: Concrete Dimensions: 95 x Ø 65 cm Video: https://youtu.be/ciNWPLRMTLQ Design Three egg chairs mounted into the ground with concrete, carefully placed at the right distances. With an ergonomic design and its light warm color and shiny finish it brightens up the area. And gives everyone a place to safely connect with one another.

Project Revitalize an outdoor site nearby by creating a seating area fitted to the existing surroundings and designed to be COVID-19 safe. The area must be spacious enough in order to obey the social distancing rules while seated and moving around. The seats also need to be able to withstand Dutch weather conditions and rowdy people.

DEW 2020 Project: LiQiuidpack Material: HDPE Production technique: Extrusion blow molding Dimensions: 80 x 30 x 160 mm Design A reliable shape with naturistic elements, gives this bottle a simple but edgy look with a firm grip. Combined with the cooling and relaxing graphics to incite a refreshing feeling, DEW is a perfect fit for mountain climbers. Well responsive to their needs and characteristics.

Project A shampoo bottle optimized for extrusion blow molding, and designed to fit a randomly chosen content and target audience. Shampoo + mountains climbers = DEW

Octagon 2019 Project: Bamboo Light Fixture Company: Lighture Website: https://lighture.nl/ Material: Bamboo Dimensions: 260 x 170 x 300 mm Design A wall lamp with an intuitive mounting bracket optimized for fast and easy installation. The bamboo shade has a modern and minimalistic design and will show indirect lighting. Creating a relaxing and calm ambience in the room due to the minimization of shadows and reflected glare, which is highly suitable for rooms with reflective surfaces such as computers.

Project Design a light fixture, with an existing and predetermined LED-Spot, for office spaces. The shade must be made from bamboo from a certain manufacturer.

GLADIUS 2019 Project: Cutlery Material: 925 Sterling Silver Dimensions (base): 210 x 40 x 17 mm Design A silverware set designed with shapes inspired by organisms living in the ocean. The set is formed from a base template and optimized to fit it’s functions and luxurious look and feel. With smooth and soft edges to gently tend to the seafood dishes.

Project Design a cutlery set for a high-end fish restaurant. Using a mood board create matching forms and develop a set fitted by shape and material to the ambience of the chosen restaurant.

Sandster 2 2019 Project: Sander Remodeling Material: Modeling Foam Dimensions: 200 x 70 x 120 mm Design An ergonomic shape with an ambidextrous handle makes it easy to operate. The use of grey and black tones and vibrant LED detailing give this concept a futuristic look.

Project To redesign the shape of a handheld sander fitted for the next generation at home DIYers. A concept with an optimized spatial configuration for the subfunctions of the product by verification through various block models. And it’s final concept crafted with modeling foam.

GEM 2019 Project: Alarm Clock Material: ABS Production technique: Injection molding Dimensions: 120 x 90 x 38 mm Design Though the alarm clock is made from plastic to ensure it’s low cost and suitability for injection molding, it’s gemstone cut design and glossy finish still manage to give it a luxurious look. It’s casing is optimized for injection molding by SolidWorks Simulations (Draft and Flow). The electronics are fastened inside with screws, and the top and bottom shells are joined together with snap hooks for a seamless look. The alarm clock is easily installed by just simply sliding the holes on the bottom shell over the hooks on the mounting bracket secured to the wall.

Project A design for a casing of an alarm clock with pre existing PCB and USB-C port. Produced using the injection molding technique, it’s relatively low cost but with a luxurious look.

GYROSPOT 2018 Project: Balance Light Challenge Material: Steel Finish: Powder-coating Dimensions: 56 x 56 x 79 cm Design Inspired by the gyroscope, with clean lines and a mild gloss coating this light fixture has a modern and simplistic look. Due to its symmetric design and wiring the fixture is balanced at all times, and compatible to set in any desired position. With an adjustable shade to create the perfect light flow.

Project Develop a light fixture that’s perfectly balanced so it will be able to be adjusted to any position. By using the right measurements and verification through calculations, the fixture must achieve the two predetermined positions.

LEVITATING PLANT 2020 Material: PLA Production technique: 3D-Printing Dimensions: 125 x 105 x 105 mm Design With it’s simplistic and modern form it focusses the attention on the levitating element. The vase is shaped in length making it seem to float even higher than it is in reality.

Project The levitating plant is one of three (two yet to come) ‘floating’ product designs. A project to discover different methods or illusions of levitation, to incorporate in a series of products.

Creation This levitating plant is created using an existing levitation module for the base. The vase is designed to fit onto the module and optimized for 3D-printing. Making it as light and waterproof.

ARDUINO 2021 Project: Mechatronic Machine Dimensions: 60 x Ø 30 cm Team: Louise Blok & Ianthe Vlems Role: Chief of mechatronics Mechatronics test: https://youtu.be/iyj3fa9t5HU Project Develop a mechatronic machine that’s controlled with Arduino, with an Arduino board and various hardware. The machine needs to include at least three motors and one sensor.

Design The Cocktail Generator – The home experience of a luxurious cocktail bar. Chose from a selection of cocktails and the generator will, detect if a cup is placed, pour the right amount of necessary liquids, close a lid and shake if needed, and the cocktail will be ready.

Mechatronics The machine is powered by an Arduino mega board and controls a laser sensor (cup detector), a stepper motor (reservoir carrousel), a servomotor (liquid dispenser), two DC motors (operating lid) (shaker) and a keypad (buttons for selection).

Code A three layer code: 1. Defines the loop and the setup (pins and hardware). 2. Defines the order and collaboration of the functions. (Cocktail selection – Cup detection – Reservoir selection – Dispenser – Lid open/ close – Shaker) 3 Defines the functions itself.

PROJECTS 2019 Project: Cycling Computer Dimensions: 160 x 80 x40mm Team: Renske van der Peet Role: Programming Project Build a test model for a cycling computer with working electronics controlled by an Arduino Uno. The computer must accurately measure the speed.

Mechatronics The computer is powered by an Arduino Uno, with a pre-existing rpm device on the bike, a button controlling the buzzer (bell), and a light sensor (automatic bike light).

Code The code has two layers. 1. Defines the loop and setup (pins and hardware) 2. Defines the functions (order and working)
