Shake, Rattle & Sew Friday, November 2 - Sunday, November 4, 2012 Bop on over and make the scene at Suzanne’s Fall Quilt Escape. Rock and Roll with the other Cool Cats and have a swingin’ good time, as we stitch up a mystery quilt project. The place will be jumpin’ as we reminisce about cruisin’, drag racin’ and prom night. Poodle skirts, pedal pushers, letter sweaters, pony tails and bobby sox will be in fashion. We guarantee you will have a blast! Dress to Impress, 50’s Style!

The Georgia Baptist Conference Center is nestled in the agricultural heartland of South Georgia, between Moultrie and Tifton. Formerly Norman College, the Conference Center has a beautiful campus and is only 15 miles from Suzanne’s Quilt Shop. Stay in lovely and spacious motel-style rooms in Clark and McCall Hall. All rooms are smokefree (Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside the buildings.) You may choose your roommate if you like, or we can arrange a roommate. No one shares a bed and no one sleeps on the top bunk. It’s the perfect slumber party! You will be sure to have many new friends before the retreat is over! Arrive Friday at 2 p.m. for optional Free Sew 2 p.m. with Room Check in at 4 p.m. Sunday - Room Check Out 11 a.m. with optional Free Sew stay until 3 p.m. Fees $240.00/person Double Occupancy $280.00/person Single Occupancy 1/2 Total Amount is due on date of Registration. Suzanne’s Quilt Escape - Fall 2012 Your Escape Fee includes: * Meals and Snacks Two nights lodging, all taxes and gratuities Meals are traditional buffet style Six meals and snacks* -Friday (Dinner) Instruction and quilt patterns -Saturday (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) Block Challenge (instructions will be sent to you) -Sunday (Breakfast & Lunch) Plus Snacks and Beverages Prom Night Drag Racing Make and Take Project Demos Prizes from Vendors Does not include Transportation to the Escape To insure all participant’s enjoyment- Please note there is a $250 penalty if you bring alcohol or pets, or if you smoke in your room.
Project Information Fabric for the Mystery Quilt can be purchased through Suzanne’s Quilt Shop or you may bring fabric from your stash. We will not know the requirements until closer to Escape time. Please check with us for fabric requirements. There are 4 color choices to choose from and some of the fabric will be precut for you. When you sign up for the Escape, please choose from one of these colorways: Jail House Rock

Kits will need to be ordered and purchased by September 15th. We will have extra kits available if you wish to purchase a second (third or fourth) one. The kit is $72.00 plus 7% tax.
What to Bring Challenge Block - We will send you fabric and instructions for the Challenge Sewing machine (in good working order), rotary cutter, rotary mat, rulers, scissors, thread, pins, seam ripper, extra bobbins and needles. Show and Tell - We are anticipating wonderful things! Prom photo or a picture of you dressed up ( It will be returned) A car to donate—Matchbox or Hot Wheels that we will race and donate them to charity Camera Chair cushion Comfortable clothing - The weather in South Georgia in the Fall is usually cool at night and around 65 degrees during the day.
