Since 1865 in Western Australia through local parish based volunteer groups and Special Works, the St Vincent de Paul Society has sought to create a more just and compassionate society by responding directly to needs identified in the community. The Society is made up of dedicated men and women of all backgrounds and ages who have a commitment to the mission of the Society and work together to assist people in need in the West Australian community.
Become a Volunteer Volunteering in any capacity is a wonderful way of dedicating time and energy to people in need. The St Vincent de Paul Society has a network of thousands of West Australians who volunteer their time every year, but as community needs increase, so does the need for more volunteers. Whether it is to make friends, give back to the community, learn new skills, gain work skills, work experience and development or to grow spiritually – the St Vincent de Paul Society has volunteering placements for people of all ages and experience.
Gain experience working in retail sales and customer service in one of over forty Vinnies Centres throughout Western Australia. Open to all ages this is a wonderful opportunity to learn skills, gain experience and make friends whilst supporting the community.
