KVINDER DER ROCKER

Kvindepower i rockens historie. HVORNÅR: Man. 30. aug. kl. 20.30-22.30 HVOR: Spillestedet Harders PRIS: Gratis - bare mød op

PATTI SMITH Gloria: In Excelsis Deo, Horses (1975)

Jesus died for somebody’s sins but not mine Meltin’ in a pot of thieves Wild card up my sleeve Thick heart of stone My sins my own They belong to me, me People say ”beware!” But I don’t care The words are just Rules and regulations to me, me I-I walk in a room, you know I look so proud I’m movin’ in this here atmosphere, well, anything’s allowed And I go to this here party and I just get bored Until I look out the window, see a sweet young thing Humpin’ on the parking meter, leanin’ on the parking meter Oh, she looks so good, oh, she looks so fine And I got this crazy feeling and then I’m gonna ah-ah make her mine Ooh I’ll put my spell on her Here she comes Walkin’ down the street Here she comes Comin’ through my door Here she comes Crawlin’ up my stair Here she comes Waltzin’ through the hall In a pretty red dress And oh, she looks so good, Oh, she looks so fine

And I got this crazy feeling that I’m gonna ah-ah make her mine And then I hear this knockin’ on my door Hear this knockin’ on my door And I look up into the big tower clock And say, ”oh my God here’s midnight!” And my baby is walkin’ through the door Leanin’ on my couch she whispers to me and I take the big plunge And oh, she was so good and o H, she was so fine And I’m gonna tell the world that I just ah-ah made her mine And I said darling, tell me your name, she told me her name She whispered to me, she told me her name And her name is, and her name is, and her name is, and her name is G-L-O-R-I-A G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria I was at the stadium There were twenty thousand girls called their names out to me Marie and Ruth but to tell you the truth I didn’t hear them I didn’t see I let my eyes rise to the big tower clock And I heard those bells chimin’ in my heart Going ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong Ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong Counting the time, then you came to my room And you whispered to me and we took the big plunge And oh. you were so good, oh, you were so fine And I gotta tell the world that I make her mine make her mine Make her mine make her mine make her mine make her mine

Make her mine make her mine make her mine make her mine G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria, G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria And the tower bells chime, ”ding dong” they chime They’re singing, ”Jesus died for somebody’s sins but not mine.” Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-RI-A, Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A, G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria, G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria, G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria .

THE RAINCOATS

Fairytale in the Supermarket, The Raincoats (1979)

It makes no difference Night or day No one teaches you how to live Cups of tea are a clock A clock a clock a clock Cups of tea are a clock A clock a clock a clock The times I forgot but never forgot I don’t know the books that you read But you don’t say That love never externalizes You’re rereading a book To feel reassured By the life of your favorite hero But don’t worry, honey don’t worry This is just a fairytale Happening in the supermarket The roots of your thoughts They’re essentially polaroidal When you look at my picture Don’t say it’s your mirror Don’t say we’re both paranoid Tear me make me glad Don’t ask me anything I’m no secret agent Got no colours to give to you But don’t worry, honey don’t worry This is just a fairytale Happening in the supermarket

SONIC YOUTH (feat. Chuck D) Kool Thing, Goo (1990) Kool Thing sittin’ with a kitty Now you know you’re sure lookin’ pretty Like a lover not a dancer Superboy take a little chance here I don’t want to, I don’t think so I don’t want to, I don’t think so Kool Thing let me play it with your radio Move me, turn me on, baby-o I’ll be your slave Give you a shave I don’t want to, I don’t think so I don’t want to, I don’t think so Yeah, tell’em about it Hit’em where it hurts Hey, Kool Thing, come here, sit down beside me There’s something I go to ask you I just want to know, what are you gonna do for me? I mean, are you gonna liberate us girls From male white corporate oppression? Tell it like it is! Huh? Yeah! Don’t be shy Word up! Fear of a female planet? Fear of a female planet? Fear, baby! I just want you to know that we can still be friends I don’t want to, I don’t think so Let everybody know

Kool Kool Thing, Kool Kool Thing When you’re a star, I know that you’ll fix everything Kool Thing sittin’ with a kitty Now you know you’re sure lookin’ pretty Rock the beat just a little faster Now I know you are the master I don’t want to, I don’t think so I don’t want to, I don’t think so Kool Thing walkin’ like a panther Come on and give me an answer Kool Thing walkin’ like a panther What’d he say? BIG THIEF SHARK SMILE Capacity (2017)

She was a shark smile in a yellow van She came around and I stole a glance in my youth A vampire Evelyn shown quiet as roses sting It came over me at a bad time But who wouldn’t ride on a moonlit line? Had her in my eye, 85 down the road of a dead end gleam And she said woo Baby, take me And I said woo Baby, take me too It came over her at a bad time Riding through Winona down the dotted line Held us gunning out Ninety miles down the road of a dead end dream She looked over with a part smile Caught up in the twinkle, it could take awhile And the money pile on the dashboard fluttering As she said woo Baby, take me And I said woo Baby, take me too Evelyn’s kiss was oxygen I leaned over to take it in As we went howling through the edge of south Des Moines It came over me at a bad time She burned over the double line She impaled as I reached my hand for the guardrail

Ooh, the guardrail Ooh, the guardrail And she said woo Baby, take me And I said woo Baby, take me too She said woo Baby, take me

KONNI KASS I Lie, Haphe (2016)

Some storys take on variations When different flavors are added I tell them My re-ending does not Fit all the rest It’s so hard to tell the truth So today I lie If I only cared enough To mind I’ve been this honest from the start With time you’ll see this style I’m taking A little fixing doesn’t make it less real to me It’s so hard to tell the truth So today I lie If I only cared enough To mind If I only cared enough

The story is the same And no one has to feel [?] Because of my confessary Need to make it better The only reason for this strange event is Me and my own expectations It is hard to live up to the standards It is hard to tell the truth (Oh) It is hard to tell It is hard to tell the truth I lie It’s so hard to tell the truth So today I lie (I lie) If I only cared enough

ELLA How FITZGERALD the High Moon, Live at the Deutchland Halle (1960)

Somewhere there’s music How faint the tune Somewhere there’s heaven How high the moon There is no moon above When love is far away too Till it comes true That you love me as I love you Somewhere there’s music It’s where you are Somewhere there’s heaven How near, how far The darkest night would shine If you would come to me soon Until you will, how still my heart How high the moon ’How high the moon’ Is the name of the song How high the moon Though the words may be wrong We’re singing it because you ask for it So we’re singing it just for you How high the moon Does it touch the stars How high the moon Does it reach out to Mars Though the words may be wrong to the song We’re asking a high, high, high, high High is the moon Though the words may be wrong to the song We’re ought to make high, high, high, high High is the moon

RIGMOR
