A Bit About Tay-Sachs? Tay-Sachs is a genetic Disorder that effects chromosome 15. As the disease continues to progress, the child looses certain functions necessary to normal human use. Tay-Sachs is also prevalent in Ashkenazi Jews. Also, There are not various forms of this disease or disorder.
Diagnosis And Treatment A blood test can be done to see if you are a carrier for the defective gene or not. This test can be used to also say whether you have I or not. Eye Examinations can also be done to see about Tay-Sachs. You can also get a karyotype of your chromosomes done to look at
