COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

DEAN’S NOTE

Dear Cardinal Community,

One of my favorite sayings is, “To teach is to touch the future.” Your generation’s passion for making a difference in the world is truly inspiring. A career in teaching is a vital path toward shaping a new and brighter future.

Within Saginaw Valley State University’s College of Education, nothing brings us more joy than witnessing the graduation of successful teaching candidates who go on to enter the classrooms of tomorrow and make a lasting impact on the future. Our graduates are fully prepared with more than 600 hours of experience in k–12 classrooms, so they are fully prepared to lead.

We are so glad you have chosen to explore SVSU. When you visit our campus, you’ll find our offices in the College of Education on the second floor of Gilbertson Hall. We have an “open door” policy, which means that you are welcome to stop in for a visit without an appointment, anytime between Monday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The faculty and staff in the College of Education are fully dedicated to your success because your accomplishments are our accomplishments! We are here to help you succeed.

Once again, we warmly welcome you to SVSU!

Sincerely,
