When you look for Swagga, look for style in our future. Begin to look around and look at your children. SDM publications illustrates through our photography, written word, visual arts, interactive media illustrations, and editorial layouts the full range of ethnicity, their lifestyles, cultures and diversity. We endeavor to illuminate people of different backgrounds, and lifestyles promoting confidence through our editorial content.
his Swagga Digital Magazine (SDM) Kid was found at A2B and MTModels (associates of SDM) auditions in 2011 for “Pretty-n-Pink, Blue Will Do”’ Entrepreneurship Kids Fashion Show (PNP). We introduce to you Sergio M. Aranda, 5 years old now had success with 2011MTModels “Pretty-n-Pink, Blue Will Do”’ Entrepreneurship Kids Fashion Show (PNP), Oakland’s Art & Soul Festival where he modeled and participated in other activities such as bowling, swimming and other career building projects. He has completed MTModels training, including photo shoot and screen test day training to name a few. We looked for style then found this rare 4 years old boy at the time of auditions, it was a unique find. “His name!” Sergio M. Aranda. He is a true Scorpio, Native American, Mexican & Black, speaks two languages, charming with great charisma and spirit that all children should experience. In addition, for the record if you were wondering, Sergio loves sushi, red beans and rice & pizza. Some of his other favorite things are music, old cars (57 Chevy’s), dinosaurs and a list of other things. Now what can top that! This young man has found our historical culture in his chosen fashion. This is not your typical 5 year old, from suits to tuxedos, fedora top hats, converse to snake skin shoes and gators, his fashion sense would put any man to shame. The title he has earned is the 2012 MTModels “Pretty-n-Pink, Blue Will Do” Entrepreneurship Kids Fashion Show Poster Model for 2012. We cannot brag enough about such a remarkable little boy, who’s Swagga has now help him become a mini MTModel and an SDM Kid, under the direction and training of Oakland’s own Ms. Monica. His goals and aspirations are to be the next top kid model, a television star and to graduate college. We congratulate Sergio M. Aranda.
In, 2013 the 2nd Annual MTModels “Pretty-n-Pink, Blue Will Do” Entrepreneurship Kids fashion show will be held on Saturday, February 02, 2013. Further information contact: Ms. Harris (510) 506-9088; (424) 235-4222; and a2bmtm@gmail.com. Words: Archie “A2B” Brumfield
SPENCE
MARCUS DUBBED, “BIG SPENCE” WITH
ctor Marcus Spencer, is well known in the entertainment industry. Dubbed “Big Spence” by the world renowned actor and two time Oscar nominee Will Smith, Spence wears his name proudly. The two actors worked together in the blockbuster film Pursuit of Happyness. Big Spence is an actor first and has many credits to his name including but not limited to The Prankster, Everyday Black Man and Moneyball. The artist has also appeared on national television programs such as Californification, America's Most Wanted and Discovery ID’s number one show, I (Almost) Got Away With It and many more. Along with his acting qualities he’s also a writer/producer and stellar athlete. Having played baseball, basketball and 2 years of semi-pro football “Big Spence” is in great athletic shape, which allows him the versatility to do his own stunts when called for. Although his drive and desire for sports was very important to him, Spence's passion and drive for acting was never deterred. He continues to take adventurous and ambitious strides with appearances on films, television and print.
Inspired and captivated by how actors brilliantly told stories with their faces, Marcus Spencer set out to pursue acting. As a youth growing up in Oakland, California, at age 16 Spence began acting at Emery High School and has kept moving forward ever since. “Big Spence” has gone from the high school drama class to the big screen. In 2010 he was awarded the “Be That Kid” Celebrity of the year award. In addition to Spence's acting, he is also the CEO of a Christian film company, “Touch The Heart Productions”. Utilizing his writing talent coupled with his acting skills, Spence is starring in the upcoming film, Milk Money. Milk Money, is a stylish and dramatic film with Christian undertones and content that takes place in the year 2030 and directed by Samm Styles. Spence's character Banneker has easily put him on the cutting edge of popular cinema. Simultaneously, the role eradicates stereotypes, diversifies cultures and definitively educates. The full length movie is set to make its world premiere at The Oakland International Film Festival (April, 2013). Banneker is faced with major conflicts and tough decisions in this film. Banneker's aunt is diagnosed with cancer and Banneker, being a backsliding Christian turns to the one thing he has always known, “prayer”. However, at some point he starts to feel as though prayer is not enough and decides to take matters into his own hands. Banneker feels the pressure of his long time hustler friend, D. Rock. D. Rock has always taught him that a C.E.O of a business always makes more than an employee. At first Banneker is opposed to the idea after finding out the business was a “Pharmacy of the streets”, in other words, “drug dealing.” Banneker feels that health care is a not a privilege but a right, and should be as easy to get as milk. Although Banneker is from the streets, he's not “of” the streets. Banneker has access to some powerful THC (milk). D.Rock (Alphonso Thompson) & Q (Ahku) decide to help with the situation. Banneker believes, “God gives us all a gift; however some may call it a curse; Banneker calls it “free will.” Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to obtain the results you're looking for. The only question is....at what cost? Banneker shows you that “it's not about how bad you are, it’s all about how good God is.” Time to get that Milk Money. Milk Money is the first film that was solely produced by Touch The Heart Productions. Marcus ‘Big Spence’ Spencer is also the co-producer of Ramasses Heads soon to DVD film Basketball 3:16 as well as Shawn Cunninghams The Shop which is also set to premier at the Oakland International Film Festival in 2013. Marcus ‘Big Spence’ Spencer is now finishing up his second solely written and produced film directed by Robert Wakamatsu with the working title The American Dream and is in pre-production of the new filmChatter.
