VILLAGE EXERCISES

SUNSET WALKERS If you’re interested in improving your fitness while enjoying stunning sunsets, admiring gardens changing with the seasons and having a chat while walking along, then come join our friendly crew.

When: Every day. The time changes with the seasons

so leave your phone number with admin and I’ll contact you. Duration is around 45 minutes.

Would you like to do a little exercise in the morning? We are not a club as such, just a gathering of people who have become friends but we would love to greet some new faces. The session only takes 25 minutes finishing with a friendly tea or coffee and natter.

FISH ‘N’ CHIPS ON STRATTON The year got off to a great start with our first concert on Friday the 1st February 2019 celebrating Valentines Day. Rockin Ronnie delighted us once again with his wide selection of music.

BENTLEY PARK BOWLING CLUB

The theme for our March concert will of course be St Patrick’s Day so don’t forget to wear some green! Our entertainer will be Patrick O’Hooligan whom I sure will entertain us with tales of Ireland together with some traditional Irish ditties.

We have quite a variety of movies this year: some Rodgers and Hammerstein; some Andrew Lloyd Webber; and others ranging from The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Movies are held on the second Friday of each month.

Our Frequent Flicker Program commenced in January. To take part in the Frequent Flicker Program, all you have to do is to collect a voucher at each screening, and when you have collected four different vouchers, you can attend a movie of your choice free of charge. The SwanCare bus will commence its pickups at 6pm, and return you home after the movie. Movies commence at 6.30pm.

In April plans are underway to run, ‘An Evening with Adam Penn’ on Saturday 13th April, a week earlier than usual due to the third Saturday being the Easter weekend. Adam Penn has entertained us at the ‘ Fish n’ Chip ‘ lunches here in the past. He is a well known singer and dancer who was also a presenter at Curtin Radio. He will be our MC/DJ for the evening. There will be the usual mix of dances, raffles and door prizes and hopefully an Easter hat competition. This event will be run in conjunction with the Social Club.

The library offers a wide selection of books including large print and audio books. DVDs and jigsaws also available.
