For those of you who are interested in improving your photography skills, or just asking questions about photography this is a unique opportunity. The invitation is to all residents at both SwanCare and Rowethorpe.

If you’re interested in improving your fitness while enjoying stunning sunsets, admiring gardens changing with the seasons and having a chat while walking along, then come join our friendly crew.

We had a beautiful orchid display and learnt all about Phalaenopsis from Maxine Godbeer from the Orchid Society of WA at our August meeting.

We don’t only make things for the stalls, we do things for ourselves too like knitting, fancy work or whatever we feel like doing. Sometimes it’s just friendly chat and a cuppa.

Spring has arrived and our combined bowling with the Bentley club is going well as is the progress on the new Leisure Centre which hopefully is still on schedule. Our next luncheon at the Bayswater Hotel is on Thursday 5th September with nominations and payment to be finalised by close of bowling on Monday 2nd September. Bus pickup will commence at 11.15am from Administration then Richard Cleaver Lodge, Mavis Cleaver Court and Drummond Apartments. New and long-time residents are welcome to join the club and participate in a game of bowls and our social events. Reminder of our AGM to be held on 12th September, commencing at 9.30am in the Auditorium. Nomination forms for positions on the committee are on the noticeboard outside the Bentley Park Bowling Club. All committee positions will be declared vacant and members are encourage to nominate to prepare the club to enter a new phase in the new premises. Keep this date free and attend our AGM. Due to unforeseen circumstances our Christmas lunch has been brought forward to Thursday, November 28th which is a week earlier than previously advertised. Please alter your calendar to the new date. New and long-time residents are welcome to join the club and participate in a game of bowls and our social events.

LADIES OF THE NIGHT PATCHWORK GROUP

Situated in an air-conditioned room our volunteer staff are there to help our members with any computer problems. Join us to get answers on any questions you have on Windows 10, or anything relating to computers, printers or internet. We cater for vision-impaired members and have special adapted keyboards for their use. Our facilitators are trained to assist, call in to check us out.

Our August concert once again proved to be another successful event. We were entertained by The Darke Knights, who delighted us with a medley of tunes we hadn’t heard previously.

Come along and enjoy this very popular event which is held on the 1st Friday of each month.
