SWAN VILLAGE BOWLING CLUB Construction of the Leisure Precinct is now complete and the bowling rink and surrounds look great. We are now bowling on the new rink but are still operating from the temporary rooms in MCC, and have resumed bowling on our usual times on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday commencing at 1.00pm. All residents are welcome to come and enjoy our new premises. Our next outing is our Christmas luncheon on 28th November, all the details are on our notice board outside the Bentley Park Bowling Club in Saggers Drive. With the move into our new premises the committee have decided to introduce a club uniform in the form of a sky blue collared t-shirt. All the details are on also on the notice board. All new and long-time residents are most welcome to join us for game of bowls or join as a social member and join in our social outings.

The November movie is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This is a musical made from the book of the same name by Ian Fleming (the creator of James Bond). Don’t forget that the SwanCare bus begins its run at 6pm for free transport to the Auditorium, and home again afterwards. Doors open at 6pm, and movies begin promptly at 6.30pm with a refreshment break. No need to book for the movie or the bus – just turn up! Any children under 16 will not be charged.

HEART FOUNDATION WALKING GROUP Residents of Rowethorpe and Bentley Park are welcome to join us for a 30 minute walk. We start at 7.30am every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. The walks are free to join and are followed by tea and coffee and a chat. A great way to make new friends! Walk at your own pace. Some stride it out while others go along at a more leisurely pace or use walking frames.
