The Bentley Park Social Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 14 August in the Auditorium. It is at this time a new committee will be elected to organise social events for the next twelve months for the enjoyment of all village residents.
Burswood/Bentley Trefoil welcomes Girl Guides to join in the conversation and events.
All residents of SwanCare Bentley are automatically members of the Social Club. The Social Club is a very important part of our village life, promoting fellowship and entertainment for everyone.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS The August movie is High Society. A mix of comedy, musical, and romance about a spoiled heiress who has to choose between three suitors – her ex-husband, her current fiancé, and an undercover tabloid reporter. Don’t forget that the SwanCare bus begins its run at 6pm for free transport to the Auditorium, and home again afterwards. Doors open at 6pm, and movies begin promptly at 6.30pm with a refreshment break. No need to book for the movie or the bus – just turn up! Any children under 16 will not be charged.

VILLAGE RESIDENTS ADVISORY COUNCIL The monthly Coffee Morning meetings have resumed, and it was delightful to see so many people joining us for the first meeting in July. Thanks to Graham and Ashleigh for informative talks. There will be meetings in August, September, October and November, and we have several interesting talks scheduled, finishing with a wrap-up of the year from Graham.

Situated in an air-conditioned room our volunteer staff are there to help our members with any computer problems. Join us to get answers on any questions you have on Windows 10, or anything relating to computers, printers or internet. We cater for vision-impaired members and have special adapted keyboards for use. Our facilitators are trained to assist.

HEART FOUNDATION WALKING GROUP Residents of Rowethorpe and Bentley Park are welcome to join us for a 30 minute walk. We start at 7.30am every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. The walks are free to join and are followed by tea and coffee and a chat. A great way to make new friends! Walk at your own pace. Some stride it out while others go along at a more leisurely pace or use walking frames.
