You

are making a difference!

Thank You

for investing in your theatre’s future Since January 2013, you, our patrons, have been investing in the future of the theatre with a contribution of 50p per ticket. The funds have already made a difference and the current total is over £40,000. Improvements to date include, the installation of energy efficient hand dryers in all the toilets, new wooden benches and tables in the Footlights garden and the ongoing replacement of auditorium seating. The next major planned project is the painting of all internal Front of House areas. For further details about how the money will be spent, please keep an eye on our website www.swanseagrand.co.uk and Front of House boards. If you would like to make an additional donation, please send a cheque to: Restoration Fund, Swansea Grand Theatre, Singleton St, Swansea, SA1 3QJ.

Dedication Plaques There has been an important change to the purchase of dedication plaques on the auditorium seating. The plaques will remain on the seats for a total of twenty five years, instead of ten years. The life span of previously purchased plaques will automatically be extended. The cost of a seat dedication is £250. Please see our website for full details. We’d like to thank you in advance for your continued support to help us raise these essential funds.

Opera & Ballet International presents Ellen Kent Productions

Directed by Ellen Kent featuring the celebrated Chisinau National Opera and National Philharmonic with international guest soloists

Traditionally staged this brand new production has beautiful sets and costumes reflecting the Bohemian art of the time, plus a colourful carnival scene, real snow effects, a local brass band and even Muzetta's dog. The most romantic opera ever written tells the tragic tale of Mimi and her love for a penniless writer including many famous arias, such as Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Muzetta's Waltz. Sung in Italian with English surtitles.

“Authentic, tender and passionate.” Daily Telegraph

WITH THE FAMOUS CHORUS OF THE HEBREW SLAVES Ellen Kent returns with a new production of the very first opera she ever produced. Verdi’s haunting and melodic chorus of the Hebrew slaves follows the plight of the Hebrews as they are forced from their homeland into exile by the Babylonian King Nabucco. This powerful tale is laced with revenge, destruction and jealousy. Sung in Italian with English surtitles.

“Worth going a long way to hear.” Manchester Evening News “A terrific production of Verdi’s epic tale.” Liverpool Daily Post

BLOOD Brothers Written by Willy Russell, the legendary BLOOD Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multiaward-winning BLOOD Brothers. Bill Kenwright’s production recently surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve this milestone. It has been affectionately christened the Standing Ovation Musical, as inevitably it, “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” Jack Tinker, Daily Mail. “Gritty, gripping,superb... it’s a must!” Mail on Sunday
