CARMEN BIZET UNTAMEABLE She’s not a bad person. However, she is a deadly cocktail of desire and devastation. Carmen is a byword for passion and intoxication and without doubt one of the most alluring, popular and well-known operas in the world. This atmospheric production transports you to a vivid 19th century Spain. The stage is set perfectly for the sultry ‘Habanera’ and the rousing ‘Toreador Song’. As a force of nature, utterly unbowed by social norms, Carmen, too beautiful, too fiery and too fast, can only attract trouble. Don José has no choice but to fall for her. A man sent spinning by the whirlwind of Carmen, struggling with longing and the demands of conscience and duty. A moment’s madness can change everything. Sung in French with surtitles in English and Welsh.** Co-production with Scottish Opera.

The Wales Theatre Company and Swansea Grand Theatre in conjunction with Dylan Thomas 100 Festival present A Child's Christmas in Wales, based on the short story by Dylan Thomas, adapted by Michael Bogdanov with music and lyrics by Jack Herrick.

A CHILD’S CHRISTMAS IN WALES Beautiful. Nostalgic. This uplifting musical version of A Child’s Christmas in Wales celebrates a bygone era where even heading to the end of the road was an adventure for a small boy. In snow-covered streets and warm parlours, neighbours and relations inhabit a world of good cheer and humour. Uniquely Welsh in its portrayal of the wonder of Christmas, this is a treat for both Dylan Thomas fans and families alike. A joyous snowball of music and laughter! “Michael and Jack's version is a wonderful adaptation of 'A Child's Christmas in Wales'. This is Welsh culture at its best.” Hannah Ellis – Dylan’s Granddaughter.

EASY TERMS by Frank Vickery A year ago Vi suffered a stroke and her only son Howard gave up college to nurse her. She is now capable of looking after herself, but finds it hard to let go. Howard has a secret and a caravan holiday in Tenby does nothing to relieve the tension…it only serves to open up the situation for some heart-breaking comedy. Only Frank could write something as serious and as funny as this and the result is a wonderfully entertaining play. A marvellous night out at the theatre and a lesson to all mothers.

THE GREAT BIG GILBERT & SULLIVAN SHOW The Great Big Gilbert & Sullivan Show is a sparkling, costumed gala performance of highlights from many of your favourite Gilbert and Sullivan operas, featuring six stars from the old and new D’Oyly Carte Opera Companies and other major UK opera companies. Highlights include selections from The Mikado, The Gondoliers, The Pirates Of Penzance, Iolanthe, Ruddigore, Princess Ida and HMS Pinafore.

BAY CITY ROLLERS STARRING LES MCKEOWN In 1974 the world was to witness a new musical phenomenon, the likes of which had not been seen since the days of Elvis and The Beatles. The music of the Bay City Rollers became the soundtrack for a generation of teenagers growing up in the mid 70s. The face and voice of that soundtrack belonged to Les McKeown and this show is a celebration of those hectic days. Massive hits, such as Bye Bye Baby, Shang A Lang, Summer Love Sensation and Give A Little Love will be re-visited in a fantastic night of fun and nostalgia.

SUPREME QUEEN

RIA'S BACK!

Supreme Queen has been paying homage to the world’s most theatrical and dramatic rock band since 1995. Front man, Scott Maley plays an uncannily realistic Freddy with just the right look, stage persona and, most importantly of all, the most incredibly powerful voice!

After 30 years of West End musicals, TV appearances, worldwide concert tours and having starred in Evita, Cats, Chess, Les Miserables to name but a few, Swansea's West End leading lady returns for one night only with a selection of songs, anecdotes and with special guests from her remarkable career. An extraordinary journey which all began upon this very stage. This is a night not to be missed!

Featuring an enormously talented band, including Nathan Mathers who brings all the electric guitar virtuosity required to play a very convincing Brian May, their attention to detail is truly impressive.

"The best singer on the night is Ria Jones, what a Maserati of a voice". Quentin Letts - Daily Mail
